Jake the snake

It was the Friday after Ryder's birthday, he was in his room painting an elegant picture and listening to the sound of Roxy playing her piano downstairs. He finished the painting and took it down stairs to hang on the wall. He placed it on the wall near the tv then went over to the windows that look into the garden. He saw Luna lying on the grass as the sunny afternoon. Roxy approached him, "What you looking at?" she asked

"Oh, nothing I was just looking at the garden"

"Oh, Ryder?" she said whilst she walked over to the fridge

"Yeah?" He followed her over.

"Did anything happen that night you went to space with her?"

"No, why what did you hear?" Ryder blushed

"Nothing, but it's just you were out till really late, I just thought maybe you had something going on". 

"Nah, she's not my type". He smiled, they both sat at the table and chatted about other things like the museum and What job he should get when Ryder felt a buzz in his pocket from his phone, he pulled it out and saw a text from Jake, it read 'Hey Ryder, me and Faith are going out tonight wanna come? x'. Ryder smiled and looked up at Roxy.

"Who was that from?" She asked

"Oh, just Jake. He's asking if i wanna go out with him and Faith tonight, am I allowed?" he asked

"Ryder, your an adult now, you choose. If you do choose to go though then be safe"

"Thanks mom!"

An hour later, Jake, Faith and Ryder are at a bar in a booth

"Awww, you two are sooo cute!" Faith said, Ryder smiled

"So where do you guys wanna go?" Asked Ryder

"What about that club where we went the other day?"

"You mean the club where Luna and that stalker got busy?" Jake said they all laughed, he sat up and went to the bar to get another round and left Ryder and Faith at the table.

"Have you told your parents yet?" asked Faith.

"Told them?"

"About you and Jake!" she replied

"Oh, I think i'm just gonna keep it a secret" he said

"Why? It's not like they are gonna judge you"

"Yeah, but it just hasn't come up"

"Sure". Jake walked over and put the drinks down. 

"What were you guys talking about?" Jake asked.

"Nothing" they both said.

"Cool".

It was late maybe two or three am and Faith had gone home, Jake was walking home Ryder. The two were holding hands and walking across the path under the full moon, they got to Ryder's house.

"So, this is it" said Ryder?

"Yeah"

"Do you wanna come in?" Ryder asked

"Sure". Ryder opened the door, they both went into the kitchen. Ryder got out loads of Sugary food from the fridge and laid it out from the table, they were both giggling but trying to stay quite, 

An hour later they were in Ryder's room, Ryder was lying on his bed and Jake was looking at Ryder's paintings

"Wow these are amazing!"

"Thanks but they're not that good"

"They really are! Anyway I gotta go"

"Oh, why don't you just stay the night?"

"Really?" Jake asked

"Yeah"

"I would love to then". Ryder got in bed, Jake next to him, They looked in each others eye's, Ryder leaned in and kissed Jake on the head. then said good night,

"Ryder?" asked Jake

"Yeah Jake?"

"Love you" Ryder smiled

"Love you too" he replied. They both fell asleep.

Morning came, the beautiful sun rose up, it was a nice Saturday morning about eight, Ryder woke up but didn't wanna leave the bed, we wished to stay there for the whole day, Jake woke up. 

"Morning" he said

"Morning" Jake replied. There was some knocking on Ryder's door,

"Hey, who you talking to?" Jessie said through the door

"No one" he replied

"Ok, well there is some breakfast downstairs can you come and join us?

"Yeah okay one second"

"Okay" she replied then walked off

"Oh god, what we gonna do?" Ryder said, starting to freak out

"Go and eat breakfast?"

"We cant!" 

"Why?"

"Because, my parents don't know about us!"

"Just tell them"

"No! I'm not ready yet"

"fine, ill sneak out from your balcony"

"That's like really high through"

"But i graduated Gym class"

"Yeah only because you showed up every lesson!"

"Okay, but just let me do it" 

"Fine"

Ryder went and sat down at the table with the others, they began to chat about random stuff then they heard a loud snap from the garden

"What was that?"

"Ah, probably nothing, i'll go check in a minute"

"It's fine, i'll go take a look" said Jessy, she stood up and so did Ryder, he tried to stop her

"Ryder are you okay? are you sick from last night?" Roxy stood up also.

"whaaaa, im fine"

Ryder sat back down anxiously, Jessy walked over to window to see what that snap was when she saw a Guy running across their lawn with branches in his hair and one trainer on, Roxy stood up to watch, the guy was actually Jake trying to escape

"Hey Isn't that your friend Jake?"

"Ummm yeah think so, i wonder what he's doing here?"
