But what made this movie a hit? The story is not ordinary. It's not a conventional rom-com of good looking guy and a girl next door found each other. Pero ang isa pang nakatulong rito ay walang kasabay na big international movie na ipinalabas during its first week of showing. What made the movie more interesting is the positive feedback from the viewers. Nakadagdag din dito ang promotion through words of mouth.

Going back to RaStro movie, it will be a blockbuster only if given a story that has not been seen yet in the Philippine cinema. Yung tipong pag-uusapan sa social media. Yung may magandang feedback mula sa movie critics.

There's no doubt, kayang gawin ng RaStro ang ipapagawa sa kanila dahil pareho naman silang professional. Parehong A-lister sa acting capability. But they need a good material in order for their movie to become controversial.

Isa pang factor na pwedeng makatulong sa kanila ay ang mag top spot sa trending. Although hindi ganoon kalaki ang bearing ng trending sa Twitter, it will help in a way para mapansin ng netizens specially if the tweets are interesting at hindi pabebe or jejemon, lol! Isang sort of marketing din kasi ang trending sa Twitter.

Bilang RaStro fans, malaki ang maitutulong natin para i-promote ang movie by giving positive feedback on social media. There are a lot of intelligent RaStro fans, Rhian fans and Glaiza fans who can write and share reviews. These can be effective. Only. If. Kikilos lahat ng RaStro fans para mai-share ang reviews.

But sometimes, parang destiny rin ang pagkakaroon ng hit movie. Who knows, baka ito na ang maglagay sa kanila sa stardom.

How famous is RaStro?

Maraming naniniwala na sobrang sikat na ang RaStro. But I am sorry to tell you. Even if I am a RaStro fan, hindi sila ganoon kasikat. No offense meant. And I am sure, kahit sina Rhian at Glaiza ay aware sa kanilang status.

Kung sikat ang isang artista, marami dapat silang followers sa social media. A famous Filipino actress can accumulate at least, 100k likes on IG kahit simple lang ang post. Please see Figure 2 and 3 (above table) and compare the likes accumulated by Marian and Sofia Andres to either Rhian or Glaiza . Bakit si Marian ang ginawa kong sukatan ng kasikatan? Dahil siya ang Primetime Queen ng GMA 7. Siya ang parameter ng kasikatan sa GMA. At bakit si Sofia Andres? Dahil ordinary young star siya ng ABS CBN. Hindi kasing taas ng level nina Kathryn B., Nadine L., at Liza S. sa dami ng followers. At dahil naging RaStro fan din siya noong panahon ng TRMD.

Please note that I did not include in the table above the hubadera photos of RaStro. Hindi rin kasama ang promo sa shows. Hindi ko rin isinama ang photos ni Marian with Zia or Dingdong (sobrang lakas ng hatak ni Z sa social media). So, believe me, hindi sila ganoon kasikat. No question about magagaling silang artista. Pero hindi ganoon kalakas ang hatak sa tao ng RaStro.

Ganoon pa man, I personally vouch the two of them. Bilog ang mundo at patuloy na umiikot. Kung susuko tayo, mas lalong hindi nila mararating ang pangarap natin para sa kanila.

RaStro's influence on IG/Twitter:

Maraming nagsasabi na mas malakas daw ang hatak ni G kaysa kay Rhian sa social media. Isa raw evidence nito ang consistent trending ng Contessa from Day 1 to 6 at ang pag accummulate ng total number of tweets na 37k on its first day against TOTGA's 18k tweets on the average. But how true is that?

Note: This is just a comparison. Hindi natin balak paglabanin ang RaStro. Mahal natin sila pareho. Gusto ko lang ipakita sa inyo ang katotohanan sa pamamagitan ng mga figures.

Noong una, naniwala rin ako na mas malakas si G sa social media kaysa kay Rhian. But based on Instagram, mas popular si Rhian kay Glaiza. Please check the average number of likes of the two artists from Figure 2 above.
