It's a regular Monday in the week, and you're sitting at an empty canvas at break times like you usually do, without any worries at all. Just you, the canvas, the paint pallet in your hand and the room to yourself. That's when you see him. Subaru Sakamaki. He may be the youngest, but he's no little kid, as you've learned over the weeks. "Su-Subaru-kun!" you utter out, loud enough for him to hear but you don't yell. "What are you doing in here?" he asks, sitting at an empty canvas, and staring at it with the paint pallet in his hand.
"I always come here." you sigh. "Do you have a problem with me?" he glares at you, his red eyes burning into you like a wildfire. "N-no, Subaru-kun. I don't have a problem with you but... I was wondering the same thing from you." you say, your H/L H/C fringe sliding over one side of your face. Subaru freezes, his eyes going wide at you. "What?" he questions your return of his initial confusion. "It's just that... every time you look at me, it's like you hate me or something. I never know what you think of me and I fear you even more every time you scream at Ayato or anyone at all."
Subaru looks away from you, but he can't hide his blushing. "I... I just... don't know how to tell you how I feel, Y/N." Your heart flutters as the softness of his voice, but the second he catches you deeply gazing at him, his blushing dies out. "Is what I'd say if I cared." he growls, painting to block you out.
A few minutes later, with your heart still hurting from Subaru's abrupt show of hatred, you finish your painting, cover it up with a cloth and head for the door. You turn to see that he's fallen asleep. He's so cute when he sleeps. You sigh quietly but turn around as he stirs awake. "Hold it." he demands, and you freeze in your place as he circles to stand in front of you. With a neutral facial expression on his face, he brushes your fringe back, looking into your eyes, and your heart rate rises as fast as the speed of a cheetah. "Subaru-kun..." you utter, as he leans towards you, and you can feel the warmth of his mouth against yours while he pulls you towards him, hooking his arm around your waist, his other across your shoulder line. Before he lets you go, he whispers: "Tell no one or you'll be the next thing I break." You process this in your head. "But, Sub–" Unable to do anything as Subaru drives his fangs into your neck, and presses you against the wall, you close your eyes tightly, trying not to scream. "Subaru..." You say his name over and over slowly for a few minutes, until he stops, wraps you in a hug and pushes you back, opening the door and leaving it open. He's such a classic Tsundere... Type A, no doubt. He's jumping from his hatred to affection like choosing between sushi and gyoza: lightning fast.
You rise from the floor and watch after Subaru as he walks down the hall.
