Deeks POV

It's been two weeks. Two weeks since I was released from hospital. Released after being shot twice. One through the left arm, one through the lumbar region of the back. Man, did it hurt.

Kensi was there everyday. Every morning, before work, she'd turn up with donuts and coffee (of course), so I'm told. I don't remember much of the six weeks I was admitted. I was in a coma for most of it. My mom was there too, driving everyone insane. She keeps telling everyone I'm a secret agent, but if I were, she'd be no good at keeping it secret.

Back to Kensi. Apprently she was at my side every morning. She'd eat breakfast, chat, then go to work. She'd return in the evening with more food and she'd even sneak beer in. Every day she'd do the same. I don't know how she didn't get bored.

She was the first person I saw when I awoke. Those mis-matched eyes staring back at me. A tear rolled down her cheek before she threw her arms around me. I remember not being able to breathe due to her squeezing so hard. The rest is a blur tbh. Before I knew it, I was being discharged. Kensi wheeled me out of Angel's Hospital in a not so glamorous wheelchair. She drove me home, we sat on the couch and ate ice cream. I awoke five and a half hours later with her head on my butt. Something was making a noise. Kensi's phone. She looked so peaceful sleeping at my side, so I grabbed her phone and saw it was Eric calling her. I answered the phone. They'd caught a new case and Kensi had to go in. I had to wake her, even though I didn't want to. I tapped her on her forehead softly.

D: "morning sunshine."

K:" mmhhmm."

D."you caught a case, you gotta go in."

K."nooo, I don't want to."

Nect thing I knew, Kensi was on her feet, trying to find her shoes before she fell over and landed inches from my face. We stared at each other for a long time, never breaking eye contact. God I loved those eyes. The moment was so serene. I love her. I think she love me too.
