08 I can't forgive myself

What's that suppose to mean?-Rebekah asked as she got into the back seat

We're leaving soon-I said as I start the car- thanks to your brother I don't have a reason to stay here anymore 

I'm truly sorry for what he did to you- Freya said looking at me and I could see she meant it

Klaus's POV

Where's she?-I asked when I woke up

She left-Elijah said as he took a sip from his whiskey- you made sure she hates you for the rest of her life

She brought one of my enemies in my city-I said looking at him- what was I suppose to do?

She brought him because he had information on Hayley's killer-Elijah yelled looking at me and for a moment I froze- you killed the only hope she had of finding who killed her mother. And for that brother, she will never forgive you

 I could've helped her- I said not sure if I was trying to reassure him or myself -I offered her help and she rejected it

You told that girl you don't want her-Elijah shakes his head- what did you expect her to do? Beg you to love her and care for her

Cade was a liar she shouldn't have trusted him in the first place- I said -I was trying to protect her

You did the opposite Niklaus-he said and I could see he was disappointed and for once he had every right to be- she will never trust you now

Where are you going to?- I asked noticing the suitcase by the door

I'll try to find more information about Hayley's death and  find her killer-he said downing his drink- In my absence, I hope you come to your senses Niklaus

You should wait and say your goodbyes to Rebekah and Freya-I said looking at him

I'm sure they'll understand-he said as he picked up his suitcase

How long will you be gone?-I asked 

I'm not coming back till I find the person who killed Hayley- he said as he approached me and put his hand on my shoulder- think about your decision brother

I'm not changing my mind Elijah-I said looking at him.

You'll regret this Niklaus- he shakes his head

Maybe - I said as I watched him get in his car. For a moment I thought about Hayley, she was right when she took Hope away. Maybe I shouldn't have stopped her that day. Hope will always be the daughter of Klaus Mikaelson, the hybrid killer with a thousand enemies.

You were right little wolf-I whispered to myself-she is better off without me

Elijah's POV

Hey- Hope said as she took a seat next to me- where are you going to?

Hope-I said a bit surprised- I didn't know you're leaving so soon

I don't have a reason to stay anymore-she said as she looked down at her hands-you didn't answer my question

I don't know really- I said with a small smile- I want to know more about Hayley's death and try to find out who killed her

Finn did a lot of investigation-Hope said looking at me- I recommend starting in London, he had a home there. Most of the information you can find there. I'll give you the address if you want.

I would really appreciate that- I said looking at her as she took a piece of paper and a pen from her bag

I haven't been there in a long time so the house might need a bit of cleaning-  Hope said as she wrote the address

I'll take care of that-I said as I took the piece of paper- thank you Hope

That's the least I can do-she said with a small smile- mom talked a lot about you and she really loved you

Hayley was one of a kind-I smile as I look at her- she would be proud of you

I highly doubt that- she said looking at me- I've done a lot of bad things to survive and protect those I love

We've all done terrible things Hope-I said looking at her

Life was never kind to me and through the years I would imagine what my life would've been like if you were all alive. It was like my escape from reality- she said with a small smile -and now I can't do that. 

Hope, it's time- her vampire bodyguard said 

If you ever need anything,  feel free to call me-I said with a small smile. I knew she wasn't going to call.

It was good meeting you, Elijah- she said with a smile and then she slowly walked away and I stayed there staring at the piece of paper

Hope's POV

Damn it- I whisper as I try to unlock the front door while trying my best not to wake up Luna and then the door opened revealing Adam standing there in pajama bottoms and a black t-shirt. I  made him move in with me last week with the excuse that we were alone in this big house. But it's not like he's complaining.

Did I wake you up?- I whispered as he took Luna from my arms

No, I couldn't sleep- he said looking at me- what happened?

Take her to her room before she wakes up- I said looking at him- I'll tell you when you come back

While he was doing that I made myself some coffee and took a seat on the kitchen counter.

What happened? I thought you were supposed to stay there for a week- Adam said as he took a seat next to me

Klaus Mikaelson happened-I said as I took a sip from my coffee-he killed Cade

Why did he do that?-Adam asked

He thought I was conspiring against him- I said as I look at Adam- he killed the only person who had information about my mom's death

I can't believe he did that-Adam said and I could see he was shocked by this  -how could he think that?

I hate him- I said and tears started rolling down my cheeks- you know for a moment I thought that he cares for me, that he loves me. 

I wish I was there to stab him with something- Adam said as he wipes my tears

Why does the universe hate me so much?- I asked as more tears roll down my cheeks- I've been through hell the last six months, haven't I suffered enough? 

Shh, everything will be fine, I promise you- he said as he pulled me into a hug trying to calm me down- if you want to talk about it, I'm here

My dad's crazy ex-girlfriend paid someone to date me and then she told him my dad killed his family so he tried to kill me multiple times- I said pulling away from the hug and telling him this like it didn't mean anything- they resurrected Mikael who nearly killed me and she's also the reason why I have hybrids. That's the short version of it.

Is he dead?-Adam asked and I could see the anger on his face. 

No, Lux didn't allow me to kill him-I said as I take another sip of my coffee trying to stay calm and not break in front of him.

Give me his address and I'll make him pay for what he did to you- he said and at that moment I could see it in his eyes, he was still in love with me

I don't have his address, and he doesn't remember anything, we erased his memories of me- I said taking his hand so he could listen to me

I should've never left-he shakes his head-you would've been safe 

None of this is your fault-I shake my head- this was her revenge on my family 

We always end up paying for our parents mistakes-he said as he looks at me
