The Mage part 1 and or the Magic High School

It was just another day at the high school, lunchtime to be exact. I found myself walking from the school to the McDonald's just down the street. Nothing quite like cheap food that tasted better then the crap they made at the school. I grimaced as I thought about the pizza with grease that dripped off of the cheese and shook my head. I had a enough of that disgusting food for a lifetime, plus with open lunch giving the ability to go anywhere one wanted to for lunch as long as you got back for the next class in time (unless you were one of the lucky one's with a free period). I was one of those lucky few so I spent most of my lunch period nursing a soda at the McDonald's as I tried to forget the worries I had for the upcoming test that I hadn't studied for.

I sipped on my Coca-Cola as I sighed through my nostrils and watched as a tall man with a long beard and a large cloak walked inside. I couldn't help but stare at the man, he looked like a role playing character, like the generic mage. He slowly gazed around the fast food joint and nodded to himself as he walked towards the counter, asking for a sweet tea. I tried my best not to stare and lifted up my phone, glancing through it as I eavesdropped on the conversation.

"Well I'm sorry but I just can't seem to find my dollar." The man said his large bushy beard moving with every word, wrinkles crinkled on the edge of eyes and lips and he desperately searched through his cloak and patted himself down. I glanced around the McDonald's hoping I wouldn't have to be the one to do it as my other dollar was to be used for a candy bar surprise for someone. After a moment or two had passed I got up and quickly walked over to the man, dropping a dollar on the counter and saying a quick "here" I walked back to my table and lifted my phone up again, only to drop it as slowly footsteps came my way. I glanced up and watched as the man slowly pulled something out of his cloak, a large black and red crystal, easily the size of my forearm. He gently set it in front of me and whispered.

"Let your power awaken with the flames of this crystal" With that he turned and walked away, tea held in one hand and one hand behind his back, softly muttering to himself. Something about getting too old for this and something about the power of younguns. Almost as if time itself was holding its breath everything suddenly came back to life, people chatting with their friends or family and the cashier taking someone's order. I glanced around curiously and shrugged as I put it off to an overactive stressed mind. That's when I first heard her voice.

"Hello" I nearly spit my drink out as I glanced around. The voice was one I've never heard before, though I knew a few girls that were friends this wasn't one of theirs. Plus there was no one there. I stood up and glanced under the table behind me to make sure it wasn't some prank but found no one there. Okay, I thought as I sat back down. I'm going crazy and I'm taking if fairly well. "You aren't crazy." I slowly glanced around as the voice spoke again "Getting colder." I glanced down towards the table. "Warmer" I reached out and slowly lifted the crystal. "Red hot."

Immediately a image flashed in mind of a large black wolf, with red eyes, red tipped ears and matching tail. I stared at it for the few seconds it lasted in my mind. "Is that you?" I whispered to the crystal, part of me wondering if the stress of school had finally broken my mind. "Yes, my name is Inferno, I am a fire wolf, one of the last of my kind."

"Are you stuck in this crystal?" I stared at the crystal, as if I could possibly see Inferno stuck in the crystal, like a mosquito stuck in amber. Yet I could see nothing even as I turned the crystal.

"I must be summoned by my master to leave this crystal." She said. I stood up and dumped my soda in a nearby trash can and walked outside, noticing people were staring at me and whispering.
