Dedicated to BetiiDiglel

I woke up sweaty from the tormenting dream. This must be the second dream I have had of Rift since March. He left no space in my head for pink unicorns and the talking sun.

I approached the marbled bathroom and washed my awful face. The cold water freshens my tired eyes and awakens me. My aqua blue eyes rise to their calm waves, I stare at my reflection through which I see my narrow face which ends at my sharp chin, my pale skin which blends with snow.I turn my gaze towards my rosy lips and my eyelashes which are long and thin. My blonde hair falls to my back in strips.

I was adopted when I was 3 months old. My foster mother cannot give birth, so when my parents were on a vacation in Ireland, they adopted me from an inferior orphanage. All I was told was that the orphanage found me abandoned at the door, in a basket. There was no letter in it, only a note reading 'Inna'

I finish packing up my luggage in a huge pink travellers bag. Today, we are shifting to Coventry, Uk. My dad got a promotion as the manger of tristar. I never imagined moving away from New York but now I am forced to, without my consent.

"Morning hunny" beamed my mom. "Morning mom, when are we leaving?" I replied with a deceptive smile. Even when I'm deceptive, my mom always looks right through me invading my thoughts. We have a very strong bond and she is very fathoming. She is always there to help me when im depressed and she knows me better than anyone else. I can die for her, not that I need to, for now. "We will leave in an hour hunny, you will love it at coventry. Its a start of a new beginning" she answered consoling me. I was perfect in New York. I have friends, school, novels, a phone, clothes, shoes and a house to live in, all the things an average 19 year old girl needs.
"Where is dad?" I asked, changing the topic. "He's in the car arranging the luggage" she answered.

With all the adequate luggage in the boot, we rest on the beautiful white seats of the land cruiser and were on the en route to the airport when nimbus clouds covered the sky, giving it a shade of grey black while hindering the passage of sunlight.

My focus was drawn to the dilapidated building we were passing as their lights turned on slowly. My head rested on the transparent car window.

I can never forget my college friends who helped me whenever they saw me sombre. Emily, Erin, Jay, Elaine and my bestie Hannah. I gradually slept in the car and the last thing I heard was the drizzling of rain.

I love posting songs at the end of each chapter. Sometimes, they may not necessarily be related to the chapter. Love you all!❤
