[7] The One With Andreau's Question

Well, hello there.

It took me six months to post this thing. Actually, medyo conflicted akong i-post ang chapter na 'to. Halos isang taon na siyang nasa Google Docs ko, at isang taon ko na rin siyang ine-edit haha. I don't have any legit excuse except for, well, doubting my words. I'm slowly getting my groove back, though. Sana magtuluy-tuloy na.

Filler chapter lang 'to! One of my goals for Come On, Collide is to show you the relationships between the other characters in the TSIB universe (luh). Kagaya ng chapter na 'to. Mag-uusap lang sina Anya at Andreau about love and life haha! Sorry na. Gustung-gusto ko ang relationship nilang dalawa. Sana kayo rin :)

Sa Chapter 8 na ang San Ignacio chapter (aka: Andreau's POV of TSIB Chapter 5: The Education of Andreau Cortez) so abang-abang lang. Ayoko na magbigay ng definite date kung kailan ko ipo-post 'yon. Gulatan na lang as always lmao.

The One With Andreau's Question

TWO WEEKS LATER

Fridays are usually Andreau's day-off from his busy taping schedules and other work-related engagements. Isa yan sa conditions niya sa management bago siya magrenew ng contract last year, na just in time sa enrolment noong second semester. Dahil dyan, puro Friday lectures ang kinuha niya sa online enlistment. From 10am to 5:30pm, nasa klase lang si Andreau at pinaninindigan ang pagiging huwarang working student. Diretso tulog siya pag-uwi sa condo niya para magrecharge sa 6am taping call time kinabukasan.

It seems very tiring, but Andreau loves his Friday schedule. In fact, ito ang pinakahinihintay niyang araw sa buong linggo. Alternate universe niya ang Fridays, kung saan isa lang siyang normal college student. Challenging nga ang semester na 'to para sa kanya dahil nakuha rin niya ang Film 151 (Scriptwriting I), na pinakahihintay niya ever since freshman year. Finally, mapo-polish na rin niya ang first full-length script niya, si Tila. In two years time, magiging totoo na rin ang kanyang dream thesis film. Kaunting tiis na lang.

But this Friday was an exception.

It was already 11:30 pm and instead of snoring soundly in his comfortable bed, Andreau was still wide awake, with a bottle of cold Taiwanese beer in hand. He has a long weekend to look forward to this time. Cancelled ang taping nila ng Saturday and Monday dahil nagkaroon ng sore eyes si Jillian kahapon, at pinagpapahinga siya ng doctor ng ilang araw. Even though this would cause a huge setback in their schedule, the director couldn't risk the chance of getting the other cast members and crew infected. Lalo si Andreau na kasama ni Jillian sa halos lahat ng eksena.

So, right. He has a rare long weekend now. Ano pa bang magandang gawin kundi magwalwal kasama ng mga kaibigan?

"Aba, sarap ng upo mo dyan ah," Anya's voice drawled behind him. Agad siyang napaupo nang ilapag ni Anya ang isang plato ng pork barbeque sa maliit table sa tabi niya. "Here you go. Straight from Chef Lee's grill."

"Hey, is this from IKEA?"" He patted the sleek black easy chair he's currently sitting on. "I'm in love with this. I want one."

"Secret. And please, don't get too drunk tonight. Baka bukas makita ko na lang nakatali na yan sa sasakyan mo."

"Luto na ba 'tong barbeque?"

"Maybe." Anya shrugged as she sat on the chair beside him, taking a sip of her beer. "Kinuha ko lang yan sa baba, eh. Mukhang ready to eat na." Kumuha rin siya ng isang piraso na medyo sunog, at inabot kay Andreau. "Here, eat this instead."
