Mission Briefing Part 2

Carter was listeinging to Nick explain what was going on. Even though he already tapped into his mind and found out all about it. Once again the boy got upset and left because of him.

Carter laughed actually. "Maybe he's right and you guys don't need me." He saw Nick get a little heated.

"But I was asked and requested by the professor and I don't wanna let the only man in my life who has been there for me down." He said, most of the men in his life left or turned him down or tried to kill him.

His mom was there for him but she was also an activist for mutant rights, she sent him to the school where Xavier helped him become stronger and be his father figure.

His real dad was a story. He didn't feel like getting into. He looked at Nicole. "I'm going to try and talk to him. See if that helps. But I doubt it, I'm. Ore persuasive with my fists then my words."

He found him outside on the helicarrier staring off into the sky.

"You know, I'm not really into the whole teaming up with stranger either." He said looking at the sky.

"But I do wanna ask, what's so wrong about me?" He asked actually curious. Since he hadn't really been malicious he wasn't going to read through his mind without permission. So he he just leaned on one leg and waited.

Nicole shook her head and sighed at the male with a slight smile.
"No, we need you with us....well need the help." She said trying to make Carter feel better; although, like her brother she was more accustom to only working with her brother on missions, she wasn't as stubborn as Nicholas was.

Surprised that Carter would even consider talking to Nicholas and she opened her mouth to object but before she knew it, Carter had already left to go talk to Nicholas. She sighed and walked away, he heels clicking with every step she took, she went to go change into her mission suit.

Meanwhile Nicholas shook his head and rolled his eyes when he heard Carter showing up and he avoided looking at the male, he sighed.
"You didn't do anything Carter." He said calmly.

"You are gonna have to understand that Nicole is all I have...we looked after each other when no one else would." He said before glancing at Carter.
"I do get a little hot headed sometimes—I'm sorry," He said, the action pained him to do however he reverted back to his serious attitude.
"My sister almost seems to have a liking towards you, but I know her, she's not interested alright. So don't get any ideas, are we clear?" He asked, he turned towards Carter and got closer to him.

Carter was actually surprised that he apologized to him. He was grateful that he was being the braver man then what he was a few minutes ago. He understood where he was coming from he didn't trust people either.

He laughed at Nicholas said though at the end. He knew the boy was looking at him funny.

"Don't worry about that at all I'm very professional." He said walking away before using his telepathic  powers to say 'I'm also Gay.' He said then cut off the kind link.

Carter smirked at the boy and then went to go and get ready for the mission hoping that if Nicholas wasn't as heated he would want to do the mission now.

Nicholas narrowed his eyes when he noticed the male laughing in front of him, he clenched his fist and scoffed.
"What's so funny?" He growled and raised his eye when he got his response and nodded. He backed off and allowed Carter to walk away, he stiffened, completely surprised when he heard Carter in his head and heard what was said.

"Wait what?" He asked, he followed after Carter, he was caught off guard by the statement however he didn't know if Carter was joking or not, although Nicholas had been questioning his own sexuality he never had anyone to really talk to about and he definitely couldn't talk to Nicole or Fury. He slowed his pace and remained a couple steps behind Carter. Looking ahead he saw his sister walking towards them in her suit, it was a tight black leather suit with a utility belt, multiple weapon holsters and one hand she had a wrist mounted crossbow and the other her multiamunition gauntlet.
"Have you two made up like good boys?" She mocked and smirked, her joking making Nicholas scoff but ending  with a small chuckle.
