Hermione Granger had never felt so alone in her entire life, not even the lonely months of first year when she had no friends and spent most of her free time either stuck up in her room, holed away in the library, or crying in one of the female bathrooms compared to what she felt now; which was completely unjustified because she was surrounded by a group of people that meant the world to her. She just couldn't help it.

She didn't have parents, but that did not mean she didn't have any family. They might not have been blood, but Hermione realizes that sometimes that's what makes family all the more better; they don't have to be blood. And she finds herself relieved in that thought, although it does nothing to help with her always feeling so alone.

Draco honestly has never felt so suffocated. And frankly, it's sort of a nice change. He'd grown up an only child, so there was always the settle of silence around him, coming to Hogwarts had been an eye opening experience with all the noises and people. Then with the war, a somber silence covered the entire Wizarding World, but that had died along with the Dark Lord. And now, here he was, center of it all, and actually loving every bit of noise.

It's new and exciting, not being so alone all the time, and it actually makes his heart feel like it's going to pop out of his chest. The only thing is the adjustment. He's not use to the banter and yelling and absolutely not the laughter that's always floating in the air; but after the war, it's nothing he can complain about. He's the quiet one on the sidelines, trying to catch every play made, and it's the most tiring thing he's ever experienced. He's suffocating in all of the people, drowning in the waves of happiness they're exuding.
