Jaeyoon, a 24 years old man with no hopes and dreams....he was never told that he have to have one.....no one have actually cared for him as a human, but only as a profit source. Cold to the world he stays in his room, almost his whole life.
Why, you may ask? Why does he stay in his room? He can't walk and he will NEVER walk like "normal" people. Even the other hospital patients makes fun of him......you would think that they would respect him. No...only caring for themselves, they made fun of him. they say that he have NEVER felt real actual pain from accidents or mental pain from break ups.
But how could he feel the pain of breakups if he had never been in a relationship or fell in love with someone before? he didn't wish to have a condition that would numbered his days, but why fall in love, when you know that one day that you'll disappear from their life forever, hurting them and yourself.
"Jaeyoon - ah, time to take your medicine." Inseong a new doctor at the hospital said
He was the only person in Jaeyoon's lifetime to call him by name, not "Mr.Lee" not "you"....no his actual given name.
"oh don't look at me like that Jaeyoon, you know that taking medicine is helping you." Inseong says as he wave a spoon of medicine near Jaeyoon's mouth.
*Then why are my days numbered?* Jaeyoon thought as he avoided the medicine.
"Oh come on Jaeyoon, don't play sassy with me." Inseong says as he puts the spoon of medicine closer to Jaeyoon's mouth.
"Why would you even care anyway..." Jaeyoon murmurs in low voice while still looking away from Inseong.
It was the first time Inseong have heard Jaeyoon talk since forever. He actually have a very nice voice, very soothing and honey like. It made Inseong smiled.
"What do you mean?" Inseong asked
Tears starts forming in Jaeyoon's eyes, he sniffles
"OMG, I'm sorry did I said something wrong?" Inseong panicked trying to calm Jaeyoon down.
Jaeyoon starts forming a smirk on his face.
"Just checking if you actually cared about me." He said then return to his usual cold expression
"Thank goodness, cause i was about to have a heart attack, but seriously what did you mean by that?"
"Even my parents abandoned me because of my conditions, so why would a stranger like you care anyway."
"now don't say that there are people out there that really cares for you.."
"like who?"
Inseong was hesitant to say it but it was important so
"like me....." he said scratching the back of his head, great now he made it awkward.
"yeah, and ONLY you"
Inseong let out a sigh
"say what you want but that's not gonna stop me from caring for you."
"cause it's your job?"
"no.....it's because I actually care for you..."
