Things weren't supposed to turn out like this. I was supposed to grow up, get married, and have kids. Why did I have to meet him? Why couldn't I have been normal? He messed everything up. He messed me up.

I suppose I should explain. My name's M/N. Kim M/N to be exact. I'm 24 years old and I have no idea who I am anymore. I should start at the beginning, it was maybe June in 2016...

"We spent 3 years working for this! You can't take it away!" I was pissed at my manager, Lee Minseok. I worked my ass off for my group's debut, and now they wanted to take that away?! Like hell.

"We aren't taking it away, M/N-ah. We just want to give you a mentor. We want you to know what you're getting yourself into." He said. Why just me? I was still thinking of some way to prove I didn't need them. Being the leader, I was supposed to make sure that my group does well. I couldn't imagine letting them down.

"M/N-ah?"

I snapped my attention back to Minseok-nim. I sighed.

"Who's it gonna be?" I asked, defeated. He was about to answer when Jin-Hyung, from the group that debuted in 2013, walked up to us. BTS, I really admired them. They had everything I wanted for my group.

I bowed respectfully.

"M/N-ah! Hi!" He said cheerfully. I smiled in response.

"You're getting a mentor before your debut right?" He asked. I nodded. Jin-Hyung looked at me knowingly. Did know who our mentor was?

He laughed slightly as he walked away.

"Anyway, your mentor is going to meet you and your members tonight around six, he'll be in your dorm. Be ready, get the dorm clean. I mean it, M/N-ah." Minseok-nim said as he walked away.

"Wait! You never said who it was gonna be!" I called after him. He turned around.

"You'll see who it is when he gets to your dorm." He called, walking backward toward the elevator.

I sighed, put on my mask, and headed toward the dorm.

"Who could he be?" I mumbled as I walked down the street.

I walked up to our dorm building and put in our code. When the door opened, I was confronted with the smiling face of the maknae, Sejun.

"Hyung!" He cheered. He was always so happy. He never seemed to be down. Of course, he wasn't always happy. He hid his negative thoughts and really tried to be positive. Sejun didn't want people to worry about him.

I smiled at him.

"I talked to Minseok-nim," I said. He cocked his head to the side.

"Wha'd he say?" He asked. I sighed and scratched the back of my neck.

"Well, he's pushing back our debut..." his face dropped. He was crushed, and I knew it.

"Why?" He asked, dejectedly.

"He says we need a mentor. Well, I need a mentor." I answered. I felt horrible.

"I'm sorry," I said, quietly. Sejun stared at me. I avoided his eyes.

"W-why? What do you have to be sorry for, Hyung?" He asked, questioning his pronunciation. Sejun came from the U.S. and was still struggling with Korean.

"I'm supposed to make sure we debut and I'm the one holding us back," I answered, staring at my feet.

Sejun was about to speak again but was interrupted by the last member, Taemin.
