Part 1 - Dream a little dream
A/N: A bit of back story , not that you care or anything, but I was watching this video and saw a comment that inspired this thing. So thank you random commentor

Thomas
It happens every morning at 6 a.m.
The girl in apartment 9B sings in her room as dawn makes it's way through the windows. It's the most angelic thing Thomas thinks he's ever heard.
Their bedrooms share a wall and as he sits at his typewriter her quiet voice like honey seeps it's way through the walls and he's mesmerized. His hands pause and he savors the moment.
"Stars shining right above you"
Her strumming is slow as she sings the love song almost forlornly.
He tries to imagine her. The way she'd look sat on a tiny stool in the corner of her bedroom singing with her ukulele held to her body, fingers stroking the chords.
"Night breezes seem to whisper "I love you","
He wonders if she knows he hears her, that he looks forward to it every morning.
"Birds singing in a sycamore tree"
To hear her sing her very own rendition of some old love song.
They've never uttered a word to each other, yet here he is like a creep listening in.
"Dream a little dream of me"
They barely know each other, never had a full conversation.
"Say nightie night and kiss me"
He catches her in the hall sometimes in passing as she goes out and he comes in.
"Just hold me tight and tell me you'll miss me"
Like just last week when on his way home from work he saw her, uke strapped to her back, giving the cat's head one last scratch before she walked out.
"While I'm alone as blue as can be"
She'd looked up at him, bangs hanging into her eyes, with the biggest smile he thought he'd ever seen before she was on her way, hands shoved firmly into the pockets of her overalls, without a single word.
He didn't even know her name.
He wanted to.
"Dream a little dream of me"
A/N: Hello and welcome to this strange thing.
This has no structure at all and the updates are going to be slow but it's a thing that came out of my brain and I'm kind of excited about it. Maybe it'll have a structure eventually but as of now it doesn't and I'm ok with that so I hope you enjoy it . Thank you so much for reading.
