What happened to those nights,
Where we talked about the perils of life.
And all the dreams we have in sight.
When all was dark and our love was a bright shining light,
It's all gone now,
Cause all we do is fight,
Through the days long,
And the summers fright,
Dwindled it is, what was our light.
Then one day it happened,
Should've saw it from the start,
You took that knife,
And thrust it upon my heart,
I howled with rage,
And teared with terror,
For there was no pages for us to tether.
So I started to run,
Run away from the sun,
Out into the moonlight,
Like the harrowed wolf,
At the start of a new moon,
I dare say it true,
That the end came too soon...
