(Trigger Warning: Blood, Bruises, Sexual Assault)
Jeremy swallowed the foul substance that flooded in his mouth and fell back, coughing and gagging against his will. His eyes flooded with tears as he breathed through the pain, his voice hoarse and cracked.
"God you're such a good little bitch~" Jeremy looked up at his tormentor and gritted his teeth, ignoring the iron taste pouring from his nose.
"Don't talk to me like that assho-" Jeremy suddenly flew back, a strong painful pressure kicking his chest into the nightstand behind him. He felt a crack.
"Remember what I said about talking back princess? You could be in worse conditions, but I saved you didn't I? I picked you up from that awful hellhole and let you stay with me. You should be thanking me~" Jeremy hacked and furrowed his eyebrows. His chest filled with pain, the sound of Adrian's yelling drowning out his thoughts. "Now, I would fuck you-" Adrian leaned down and placed a gentle hand on Jeremy's cheek. Suddenly Adrian reeled back and struck Jeremy as hard as he possibly could. "But you don't deserve it." Jeremy held his tears, looking down at the carpet beneath his fingers.
Jeremy sniffed and looked up, his bloodshot eyes glaring daggers in Adrian's direction. "I'm sorry daddy, it won't happen again." He could sense Adrian's ugly smile above him " You had to be put in your place didn't you?" Jeremy nodded lifelessly and gulped. "Good, now you don't wanna look like that out in public, do you? Go clean yourself. And are you ever gonna talk back to me again?"
"No, sir." Jeremy croaked out. Adrian nodded and left the room, his weight pounding against the stairs behind the door. Jeremy looked down, the scalding hot tears sliding down his cheeks.
He stood and heaved loudly, his knees almost giving out on him. 'Why today of all days?'
Jeremy limped to the bathroom and sat down in the bath, no water running. Just sitting.
'Why? Why? Why? Why? Out of all of the days in this shitty year and it just had to be this one?'
He looked up at the ceiling and immediately broke down. He didn't know why. All of this was his fault. Why was he crying over something that he had done? He glanced down at his legs and hissed. What the fuck did Adrian do?
Jeremy sighed and watched his warm breath pile away from him.
It's not like baths can soothe bruises.

'Water. Cold water against pale broken skin. It sounds like a quote or an aesthetic picture but nothing about this moment was worth seeing. This moment wasn't worth capturing. And what's the point of capturing an image? What's the point of snapping a photo of a snippet of time that nobody needed to witness?
A smiling couple against a background of stars.
Little did anyone know that nothing about that life deserved a smile.' Jeremy choked and held his hand against his mutilated ribs. If Adrian heard him crying...
He would probably beat his ass.
"Jeremy? Are you okay?" Adrian. Jeremy gasped and curled up against the freezing marble, his breath quickening, and breaking. "Jeremy I'm sorry, please. Open the door?" Jeremy made a noise somewhere between a yelp and a no of refusal.
"Adrian, please. Just- Just leave me alone." Suddenly the door opened and there stood his strangely beautiful boyfriend, holding an ice cold cherry vodka. "Here. Those bruises aren't gonna go away on their own are they?" Adrian laughed warmly and looked down, a tinge of guilt flashing across his eyes. "I'm sorry Jeremy. I- know that- t-that.." He ended up letting a tear fall down his face, his hair falling in front of his eyes.
"Are you- are you crying?" Jeremy shifted out of the bath and sat on the edge of the bath, next to him. 'What the hell is going on?'
"Jeremy I know I've hurt you and I know I've done-" He looked down and swallowed his guilt. "Awful things. But please Jeremy.." Adrian collapsed on his knees and held Jeremy's hands forcibly in his own. "Please give me another chance! I'll take my meds- I'll- I'll be nicer. Just, please! I need you so bad, Jeremy.." Jeremy started shaking, his bones seeming to wither away with every scorned word that flew from his 'lovers' mouth.
"I couldn't leave you even if I wanted to. You know I love you too much.." Jeremy screamed at himself, his very heart bursting under the pressure of his horribly strung lies. 'This is your chance! Get the fuck out of there before he hurts you again!'
"Yes. You've hurt me. But I'm willing to start again." Jeremy started crying, blaming it on happiness and love when in actuality it was just the realization that he was chained here. By force or not, he would be shackled to the place that gave him the worst memories of his life.
He would be confined to this hell by his own sympathy.
"Are you serious? Thank you! I'll be a much better boyfriend I swear!" Jeremy nodded, his voice burning from the hot white fabrications of his mind. 'Why! You'll just be miserable!' He shook away the voice in his head, leaning down to kiss him softly. His lips quivered at the touch.
No matter what he said or thought.
He was still terrified of the man below him.
