The Introvert

Chapter 1

It was a pleasant friday evening. Birds were singing,  wind was blowing,  kids riding on their tricycle, postman delivering the post, just another regular evening. But this pleasant evening was later going to become a mess for the Percy's.
Alex's mother had a worried look on her face as she was going upstairs in Alex's room.As soon as she opened the door she saw Alex sitting in the corner of the room and holding his knees, crying. She went closer, "Are you alright?", asked the mother. "I'm not", Alex replied while crying."Did anyone say something to you?", asked the mother. Alex replied in a depressed voice ,"Just leave!". His mother wasn't sure of what had happened to him. She was becoming more and more worried about her son. After some more questions and answers, Alex decided to tell the truth. He was bullied in his school earlier that day. As he was entering the class, his bullies tackled his way and he fell down on the cold hard ground. They snatched his bag and took all his books and stuff out of the bag and just threw it away. No one came to help him. As he stood up on his legs and picked up all his stuff, he was making his way to his seat and stumbled in one girl. He dropped all his stuff again. She helped him in picking it all up. "Ummm...I'm sorry", said Alex. "Oh no...yeah...it's totally fine", said the girl. Alex blushed. He had never seen a girl this beautiful in his entire life. He did some prep talk and finally went to her and asked her name. "Emma Johnson", she replied.
After school as he was leaving, he saw the guy who bullied him earlier. He tried to run away but he wasn't fast enough. He caught him and beat him up real hard.  Alex was bleeding. He somehow made his way back home and went straight in his room. His mother saw him crying and running towards his room, so she followed him and asked about what had happened.
He he didn't sleep all night. On Monday, he got up and went in his bathroom for brushing his teeth. Suddenly he started to talk to himself. He said,"Am I this weak? I must be a real looser, that's why people pick on me". He left for school with his mom.
The mom wanted to talk to his class teacher about the guy who had  bullied Alex. They arrived at the school and his mother went straight into the principle's office without even knocking the door. "So that's how to keep your students! Bullying other students. Is this what has become of school?!?", she said angrily. Principal was a good man, he apologized and assured her this would never happen again with anyone. After this she went back home and Alex went into his class. It was really noisy, everyone talking to each other,  throwing papers but no one cared if Alex was in the class or not. He was like invisible to everyone. Mr. Jackson,  their class teacher entered the class. He said, "Alex I herd about yesterday from the principle. I'm really sorry about what happened to you. Principle has suspended Martin for bullying you". Alex replied," It's fine, you don't have to apologize". And then he started teaching english.
After school, Alex saw Emma in the locker room. He followed her. She knew somebody was following her. So she turned back and she saw him. First she looked scared but then they both started talking. Emma didn't live far away form Alex's house. She just lived around the corner. They both started meeting, inviting each other in their homes for studying. Everything was going fine. One day after school,  they both were sitting besides the lake and talking about random stuff. Suddenly Emma asked him," Why are you alone all the time? Don't you have any friends besides me?". Alex replied, "No, I don't.  No one likes to talk to me and I don't like to talk to anybody either. I'm kind of an introvert". "No you're not", said Emma," You are the most funniest person I've ever met, just keep up". "I don't think so. Lets talk about something else", Said Alex."So, what do you wanna talk about?". "I like meeting you", said Alex. "I like meeting you too", she replied.
