Life is fun and full of joy, you shouldn't let anything distract you or else something might happen...
My name is Maya and I am constantly thinking about a relationship, my mom says I'm too stuck on boys, and that I should do more stuff outside. Everyday I come home and sit in my bed, read, and eat food. My mom and dad always yell that I have to go take care of the animals, so I get up, as slow as molasses, and go out to feed, water, and pet the cows and chickens.
Life is fun, I say that to myself everyday as I walk into old school once again every day is the same thing over, and over, and over. Classes are the same, 8 hours, 8:30 to 3:15 all the same.
But this week was different, snow blocked us in and we didn't have school on Monday and I guess I forgot to take care of the animals. Tuesday we left early because of snow once again. Wednesday I had to go to church, soup supper, it was Lent. Little did I know the worst would come...
On Thursday night I went out and got the eggs and fed, watered, and pet the animals, my little cat Tally following behind me, her little white paws follow me everywhere, soon enough she disappeared. Then I saw her, in the cow pasture! "Tally! Don't go in there." She keeps walking farther and farther away. I realize I have to go grab her.
I jump down from the gate and started to run after her. But a cow thought different one big mama thought that I was running over to her baby, she started to charge as fast as she could, her head down and straight for me. "AHHHHHH!!!" I start to run straight for the gate, "MOOOM, DAAAD! HELP ME PLEASEEEE!" Obviously they couldn't hear me, I just kept running.
Once I got to the gate I jumped right on it and looked back, "Tally!!" The cows were all running after her, "No Tally!!" I didn't want to let her get hurt, she kept running farther and farther into the woods. "Screw this!" I jumped off the gate and sprinted to the cat, "Tally!" I ran to her, I couldn't feel my legs. Sooner than I thought I grabbed the cat and kept running, the cows still chasing us, Tally in my arms panting and her eyes closed. I kept running and finally reached a gate, I quickly jumped over.
Holding the little black cat in my arms, poor Tally panting, "Don't worry little one, we are both safe now."
