Thomas wakes up on the sofa in the middle of the night. He decides to check his phone for a text from his boyfriend. Apparently his boyfriend did text him that very night and what he saw, was unexpected.
Text:"Hey Thomas, umm..I'm not expecting you to be up this late so...I hope you get this when you can..Look, I don't think this is going to work out..It's not you, it's me. I just have feelings for someone else..I guess this is goodbye now so...yeah, sorry it had to end like this. yours truly, but not really..."
Thomas gets up from the sofa and looks at himself in the mirror. He questions what he could've done wrong to let this happen. He replays those words in his head over and over. "I have feelings for someone else" "someone else!" Thomas turned red and started to huff and puff while having a envious look on his face. Then all of a sudden, he threw his phone against the mirror, letting out a big crash. All the glass shards fell down to the ground, from the broken mirror, and broken phone. Thomas falls to his knees and began to cry.
UNKNOWN - you poor poor gentle soul.
Thomas looks up and sees a green figure standing above him.
Thomas - Who are you?
UNKNOWN - oh that's right, I'm not around anymore since you've "matured" into an adult. Allow me to introduce myself.
The unknown green figure lends a hand to Thomas, picks him up and seeing face to face with one another.
UNKNOWN - I am one of your, "childish" feelings you've left behind. I go by many names. Bitterness, Jealousy-
Thomas - Greeny?
Thomas refers to greeny as of the unknown figure's green sparkly skin.
UNKNOWN - ...er..right, but you can call me Envy.
Thomas - Envy?
Envy - yeah got a problem with it?
Thomas - No...I just- no..nope not really..
All of a sudden Logan pops up from his room of thoughts. Logan doesn't seem very pleased with Envy's arrival.
Logan - (SIGH) Thomas, you really don't have time for this. You can not deal with this at the moment.
Envy - What are you suggesting Logan?
Logan - I'm suggesting, that you shouldn't let parasites like envy rule over your actions. Envy can draw you to do unspeakable things Thomas. Therefore it's gonna be a struggle for us to get you to reconsider your actions.
Then Roman pops up from his room of hopes and dreams.
Roman - Yeah I'm gonna have to side with the brainiac over there.
Thomas - Wow Roman...You're siding with...Logan? that's unexpected.
Roman - Yeah yeah..but when you spend all your time being jealous, you'll never be able to achieve your dreams. Besides I never really took you as the jealous type anyways.
Envy- Gee Roman..didn't think you had such high doubts that I'd be back. Am I that unnoticeable to you?
Roman - I wasn't at all worried about you or your twisted ways. No one was for that matter Greeny.
Soon enough, Patton and Virgil rise from their rooms. Both looking quite tense. Envy looks at Patton's direction and smirks.
Envy- I'm pretty sure Patton misses me.
Patton looks up at Envy and turns red with anger. He looked at envy and his sinister smirk.
Envy - Patton, where's the love? Am I not apart of the Family?
Patton - You and I both know you are the most nasty, wicked, evil, unreliable person I've ever met!
All eyes are on Patton. No one had ever seen Patton this angry. Everyone stares at him in shock except for Envy. All he does is grin.
Roman - Ehh, Patton I'm pretty sure that's not true...remember when De-
Virgil - Shut it Roman!
Roman - What?
Virgil - I don't even want to hear the mention of that diabolical Deceit!
The room gets quiet for a second, and finally Thomas had a chance to break the tension.
Thomas - Okay, you know what, I can't do this anymore. What's going on?
Logan - What's going on is, you're letting this demented cretin affect your actions. All I ask for you is to not give in to envy, and stop being such a...well um..like some sort of...oh, hold on, what's the word..?
Logan looks through his flashcards of translation slangs.
Logan - Aha, here we go...stop being such a Debbie downer..
Roman - Yes Thomas, you mustn't be this way. No one will ever ask us to a show performance again!
Virgil clears his throat to signal Roman
Roman - What? I didn't do anything!
Virgil - (SIGH) What roman meant to say was, No one will ever want you around because of your jealousy. And that means -
Roman - No more plays,
Logan - No more productive task done,
Virgil - and no more friends.
Thomas looks at Patton, Patton is still staring at Envy bitterly, Envy looks back at Patton with the same evil smirk.
Thomas - Patton, are ... you okay?
Patton aggressively replies.
Patton - Never better Kiddo, never better.
Virgil - You can't keep it from him forever Patton.. you were bound to tell him sooner or later.
Thomas - Tell me what?
Patton - I choose later.
Thomas - wait-
Virgil - this is a sign Patton,
Thomas - Wait, tell me what!
Patton - No I- I can't!
Envy - I'll tell him.
Patton/Virgil - NO!
Thomas - Okay stop it!
All eyes are on Thomas.
Thomas - What is going on? What do I need to know?
The room gets silent again.
Logan - It's not our place to say Thomas. Patton must open up to you.
Thomas - Patton?...what are you keeping from me?
Patton - I..well...Everything just seemed right at the time..I-I..I had no idea what came over me and-
Thomas - Patton..
Roman -Morality...just tell him already
Thomas - what did you do?
Patton - (SIGH)..okay here goes..I,
