"Luna, pay attention child!" my mother scolded me, clicking her tongue. I snap my attention back to what Mother was saying.
"Now, as a princess of Vanaheim, you are representing our kingdom. So I expect you to act accordingly. And most importantly, do not neglect your fiancé's attentions," Mother murmured, pulling harshly on the strings of my corseted dress. I gasped, in spite of myself.
"Mother, why must I marry now? I won't even inherit the throne. Bjorn will," I grumbled, half to myself.
"Luna, this is for the good of the kingdom. This alliance with Asgard will provide the security we need against Jotenheim." I knew Mother was right, but I hated admitting it.
"You haven't even told me who I'm to marry," I huffed in a last ditch effort to sway her opinion.
"You shall be meeting him soon enough, Luna," was all she said. When my dress was laced up properly, and my fiery curls were braided, Mother escorted me to the front of the castle where guards were waiting to take me to Asgard. The last thing I saw before the rainbow light surrounded us, was my mother lifting her hand in farewell.

I looked around in avid interest at the large golden dome, and the tall man standing in the center with a large golden sword. The clearing of someone's throat made me turn, and I came face to face with the Allfather, Odin. I knelt down in respect. Odin bade me rise and embraced me warmly.
"Ah, dear Luna. I hope you had a safe trip here to Asgard," Odin said with a smile. I nodded.
"Yes, Allfather. If I would be so bold, as to whom am I to be wed?" Odin let out a laugh, wrapping an arm around my shoulder.
"It is yet to be decided upon which of my sons will be the better match. You, my dear, shall make the final decision."
I opened my mouth to say something, but shut it immediately. Odin led me over to the waiting horses, and we rode off to the palace in silence.
As we neared the palace, I could see two young men standing on the steps waiting for us. As we got closer, I could see them more clearly. One was tall and very muscular, with long blonde hair and blue eyes. The other was also tall but more on the lean side, and had raven colored hair with brilliant green eyes. They were both incredibly handsome. As my horse came to a stop, the muscular blonde man came to my side, helping me down. I gave my thanks, but he merely shrugged them off.
"And you are?" I asked, cocking my head.
He let out a light laugh. "My apologies, my lady. I am Thor Odinson, God of Thunder."
I look over to the other young man, the one with the beautiful green eyes, but he's no where to be found. I frown in confusion, and I look to Thor.
"Ah, yes. My brother, Loki, seems to have disappeared once again," Thor said with a laugh.
Without another word, I was led into the gilded palace, but all I could think about was the beautiful and mysterious prince that left without a proper introduction. Who was Loki?
