Blood splattered all around me as I sliced through an inhuman wolf. My slick black still crystal edge sword was stained by the blood of a whitetail wolf. My black spiked bangs covered my left light grey eye. Soft pants came from my mouth as I wield my sword in hand. "Nice kill." I heard Brandon Michales say from a far. Brandon and I were close friends when we were younger. He's always been taller and older than me, but age didn't matter, he was the main person I could trust. Brandon and I gripped each other's hands in an "X" shape and grinning. We soon detached hands and we walked back to the dorm rooms.
Brandon invited me and the other members of my mothers team, Werewolf Killers. The other five teams were Vamps, Zombie Slayers, White Tigers, Pixies, and Dragon Fights. I swore to myself that one day I will defeat every team and show them that the Werewolf Killers are stronger.
Mother glanced over at me and smiled. "Hey. Ready for the training session today?" She asked me as she carried a few boxes and started to walk upstairs. I followed and we continued. "Yeah. Today's the day we spar against the other teams." I said, returning a smile at Mother. She then placed the boxes in a near by shelve and my other friend, Skylar Blue ran up towards me and I was a bit concerned. "Keith, we just heard reports that a member from Dragon Fighters is here to see you." Skylar explained. Skylar didn't know I was a girl, so she always blushed and giggled around me like she had a crush on me, but I couldn't tell her...Skylar had blonde hair that reached her lower waist, blue eyes, and she had a soft and kind personality. She was an easy trust, but I don't abuse her trust.
My face got serious and I nodded, walking away from Mother and Skylar. When I was at the entrance, I knew exactly who was there. The person who was waiting for me was Amber Clark from Dragon Fighter Team. Amber had curly red hair that reached her shoulders, green eyes, and she wore a red suit like top and maroon red skirt with boots. "You've matured." She gave me a smug smirk and I focused on her. I placed my black cloak over me and sent her a slight glare. I wore a black shirt and skirt with knee boots. I noticed a crowd grow around us and I gripped my sword belt with my hand. "Why are you here?" I questioned. Amber laughed. "I'm here to challenge you myself. Others from Werewolf and Zombie said you weren't strong enough to take on someone from Dragon, so my team wanted me to defeat you." Amber explained and a small smirk appeared on my face, me chuckling a bit. "Not to be cocky or anything, but I want you to tell them that if I'm not strong enough, come and test my strength in person." I said, beginning to walk away from her. "Gladly, but I believe you can't beat a Dragon if you wanted to." Amber said and I turned around. "I guess we'll see about that another time." I said in a more male tone and walked back upstairs, Amber leaving.
Amber and I were rivals since Junior Sword Camp. She's always tried to beat me, but hasn't and I won't let that happen. I then entered my room at the SAA, (Sword Art Academy) and grabbed my satchel. I was in the mood to kill something, so I took a few extra weapons: A knife, gun, and ax. I then left and Brandon noticed me. "Hey, Keith, where are you going?" He asked. "Just taking a walk. You can come if you like." I turned around and he grabbed his bow. Brandon and I were soon in the forest, looking for anything wild. Our hair blew gently in the late fall breeze and the sun began to set. I then closed my eyes to focus and once I heard a noise, I opened them and heard a wolf howl. "Ready?" Brandon looked down at me. "Ready." I responded and we got to one side, our backs facing each other. Brandon stretched his bow, holding the sharp arrow in aim and I gripped my sword handle.
Suddenly, two fierce wolves emerged from the darkness and pounced right at us. Brandon instantly released his bow and shot the first beast and I rushed and sliced it's head off, dodging the blood spill. I then looked up at Brandon and he smiled. "Nice kill." "You too." I said, smiling a bit. We started t walk home when I heard something that was way more dangerous than a wolf. I turned around to see a person emerged from the woods. He wore an all black suit like battle outfit and cloak he wore. The hood covered his eyes a bit, but I noticed he had black hair and pale skin. "Who are you?" I asked and Brandon turned around. "I can't give you that information now, but I need your sword." The mysterious male said and I gripped it tightly. "Like hell I'm giving you this sword." I said, glaring a bit and he laughed. "Fine. I guess you wouldn't mind the sacrifice you just made." He said and before I knew it, he was near Brandon and struck him in the chest with his bare hand. Brandon tried to defend himself, but he wasn't able. I let out a scream and raced towards them, trying to help Brandon.
"Hey! Let him go!" I said and the male dropped Brandon on the ground, leaving him unconscious. The male looked at me and I was angry. "I'm coming back tomorrow to claim your sword. Give me the blade or another sacrifice will be made." He said, looking down at me. Holding back slight tears, I held Brandon tightly. "And, you shouldn't care so much for another male like that. It looks bad." He said and disappeared. I then let out a sigh of relief and picked up Brandon as much as I could and took him back to the SAA to get treated by a nurse. I then left and walked to my room. I was upset. Who was that guy who wanted my sword? I thought and sighed softly. I wish I could get more information to find him, but how could I keep my sword and still get answers.
