Three years ago the gods choose their liberator. She would be schooled in human behavior and knowledge before she got sent down to earth on a mission to save the female race from extinction. That liberator was nobody else then Aphrodite, the goddess of love and desire. A young immortal soul that would exchange her luxury for a life between the humans. Her mission was simple, support the women on earth. Find the source of the new immortality cursing through men's veins.
'Earth is set for your arrival, Aphrodite.' Athena told her. The young girl diverted her eyes from what was her home, the godly realm. A city build on mountains of gold. With water so blue, buildings so white, nectars so sweet. Never before did a god choose to leave all this for the well-being of those humans. But just as every myth and legend here the human race also knew about their liberator. The rumor was that a girl one-day would save them all from extinction. She was their prophecy. A whisper the gods send down to keep the people fighting. But how strong that rumor maybe was, men were stronger.
'Will you be watching?' Aphrodite asked. Athena smiled. A smile that exchanged ages of wisdom and power.
'I'm always watching. Don't forget Aphrodite, humans are cunning and resourceful. There will be things you encounter that even your training can't overcome.' Athena explained. She invited Aphrodite to walk with her as she got on. 'You won't be a goddess there, you will be a seventeen-year-old girl, fighting as much as the other women and girls do. You can use your powers,'
'but only in secret.' Aphrodite ended that sentence. Athena looked aside to her, blond long wavy hair slipping over her shoulder as she lifted her dress to take the stairs up. As they got on a balcony, the realm of immortality lay before them. Aphrodite rested her hands on the marble structure, looking out over the buildings, all white, imposing, graceful.
'You are the goddess of love and desire, your beauty will compel even the worst of men.' Athena stroked her finger over Aphrodite her cheek, compelled by the beauty even she couldn't resist. 'They are corrupt, you can't let them get to you, Aphrodite. You are on earth to save the female race, to stop the immortality and power running through those men their veins. Power is what makes them strong but you, my sweet child,' Athena softly shook her head in admiring. 'you are what will make women strong.' She whispered. Aphrodite looked back to the realm and smiled softly, feeling the strength of those words entering her body.
'I won't disappoint.' She promised.
