Hi. I'm Miles. I don't really agree with the gender I was given to at birth. I don't like the name either. Ashley just doesn't suit me. I'm fourteen and go to Trinity middle school in Florida. I don't really have friends. The only person I can really trust with my secret is my very good friend, Jaz. We've been friends for all our lives now. She understands me best. Anyways, that's enough about my backstory. Here's what's going on now
.......
I wake up with a groan, my alarm blaring into my ear. "God damn... Why do we need these things..?" I hit the button to turn it off and sigh. I roll onto my back and look up at my ceiling. I have stars hanging from fishing line. I've always liked stars. "When will I get out of here?" I mutter this to myslef before I'm interrupted by my dad yelling. "Get out of bed. You'll be late for school, Ashley" I cridge at the name. "Okay, dad. I'll get up..." I groan before I say this. He just closes the door and gives me time to get ready. I rub my eyes as I sit up. I look down at my chest and sigh. "God, why can't you guys just leave already?" I shake my head and slide out of bed. I bend over and pick my red hoodie up off the ground and slip it on. I go to my drawer and pull out a pair of ripped-blue jeans and slide them on. I walk to the mirror and fluff my hair. The only thing my dad ever let me do with myslef was get my hair cut to how I want it. I said I wanted to look like Troye Sivan and it worked a bit. Well my hair turned out nice. I slip on my red converse and grab my bag from beside the door. I go into the bathroom and take out my medication from the medicine cabinet. I sigh as I take two of the small-blush pink tablets. I quickly check my bag to make sure my chest binder is in there. I smile at the thought of not having to wear it one day. One day I'll have what I want.
.......
I run down the stairs and into the kitchen. My mother is making breakfast and my little sister is already in her highchair. I walk to her and shake her hand gently. "Hey, Kaila. How's your morning going?" She makes small gurgling noises and I smile and laugh lightly. "That's good" I kiss her forehead and sit down at the table. "What's for breakfast, mom?" She just laughs and doesn't even bother to look up from what she was doing. "Don't you smell eggs?" I laugh slightly. "Fine. I should've known. All we eat are eggs," I turn to Kaila. "Isn't that right?" She giggles and bounces up and down in her chair. "See? Even the gremlin agrees" She laughs and shakes her head. "Just take this piece of toast and go out the door. You'll miss the bus" I grab the piece of toast off the counter and kiss her cheek. "Love you, mom. I'll be back around the usual time" she nods her head. "Okay, Ashley. You better be back at the usual time and not pull any of that 'sorry. I'm going to be a little late tonight, mom' bull. Or else you'll get it" I just roll my eyes and start to walk out. My little brother runs from his room and gives me a quick hug before I leave the house. "Love ya, Ash!" he yells this as he runs into the kitchen next. I laugh and reply with a simple, "Love ya too, Ethan" and walk out the door. I walk out to the bus stop.
Great. Another day of my bullshit life at school
