Prologue

There's a very thin line between being alive, and actually living.

I walk that line, and I walk it alone.

I am a Necromancer.
Which if you don't know what that is you're lucky. Most are very hostile, or so I've heard.

I found out when I turned ten, I had always heard stories about Werewolves, Necromancer, and beyond. My Grandma is to blame, according to her it skips a generation. Necromany can only occur in girls which is why my Dad didn't have it.

When I started developing "symptoms" my Dad was absolutely positive I was schizophrenic. When my Dad asked for my Grannies advice she simply said "drop her off at my house for the summer and she will be better by the time you pick her up". However he never came back.

The first day she revealed to me a dark family secret, we can bring the dead back to life. However this is not without a cost.

Person living=Person dying

It'll start with your closest family member, then it'll work it's way through your friend circle. When you have no one else, then it goes to innocents.

When I say innocent I don't mean random people you don't know, I mean pure beings that have done no wrong. Mostly children.

Which is why I consider this a curse, however there are three types of Necromancers.

The Healers the Punishers and the Voids.

Let me explain this from worst to greatist.

Voids- Voids are the "bad" Necromancer. They're basically the mirror of the Healers. The Voids have no humanity therefore their own power has turned against them. They use to be Healers or Punishers, but they were consumed by pride and jealousy. They do not have the power to bring back the dead. They only have the power to make the living dead. They're like succubus' they take energy out of someone until they drop dead. Then that energy is theirs forever.

Punishers- Punishers are like the middle class. They're the most common Necromancers out their. They can be good or bad, and they do have the power to heal, however this is where my explanation from earlier comes in. Punishers can only heal someone with the consequence of killing another.

Healers- Healers were the purest forms of Necromany. They could bring back the dead with zero consequences, in fact many say they can create life itself. They use to be the top dogs of our society. Until Wolves came into the picture. Monstrous wolves as big as horses saw our kind as a threat. Since most healers (if not all) lived in a palace located in Greece. It was pretty easy for the Wolvern empire to take over and destroy them all. They slautered them like pigs and are now seen as beasts.
Even though this happened in the medieval time our kind and their kind to this day do not get along.

Some say that a few Healers broke free and scattered all over Europe.
Some say that the gods have a chosen one, that will restart the healers society and bring peace between all kinds.

But those are only rumors, tales told in small talk and at a child's bedtime.

At least that's what I thought, before my life came tumbling down at the sight of.. him.
