It Started with Sprite

Part 1- It all starts!

     
     Cassie was a shy girl, barely talking to anyone. Ryan was her complete opposite, conversing with everyone he saw. One day, Cassie got tired of listening to Meghan boss people around at lunch. She decided it was time to go to a different table. But which one? Scanning the room, she found an open seat next to a boy in her class, who happened to be Ryan.
     "I-is it okay if I sit here?" She said, eagerly waiting for a response.
      "I don't see why not," He said, moving his lunchbox so she could sit down. "I'm Ryan. Want some Sprite?"
     "Nice to meet you, Ryan. I'm Cassie," She said, sitting down. "Sprite would be nice, Thank you."
     Ryan slid a Sprite bottle over to her, which she caught. She eagerly took a long sip, and kept sipping until over half the bottle was gone.
     "My Sprite! Did you even know that you almost drank the whole bottle?"
     Cassie looks at the near empty Sprite bottle and laughed, a bubbly laugh that Ryan would remember forever.
     "Hey, Ryan," A boy named Alex spoke. "We're going to go throw acorns at Chris, are you joining us?"
     "You can go," Cassie spoke. "I don't mind."
     "Okay. Thanks for drinking my Sprite. See you."
     "See you."
     And a friendship blossomed.
