Everything she usually does is very appreciated by all the Shepherds. Every time she draws in the royal gardens there was always somebody who stopped to see her and ask how she manages to draw like that. When she plays the piano at the great hall she ends up with the company of Cordelia's harp and Maribelle's violin creating a beautiful melody. And each time she sings Lucina to sleep, it is very common to find Chrom sleeping peacefully as well. Everybody enjoys the things she does.
Everything except baking.
The first time she tried baking was a complete disaster. The kitchen was dirty wherever you look at, there were dishes (more than the necessary) dirty as well with a strange-sticky mixture which Vela swore was suppose to be for a cake and at the end, it tasted really awful. In short, baking was not her thing.
Sumia was the one who helped her clean that mess and promised Vela to teach her the art of cooking.
They were trying to bake a pie for the dinner they're having with all the Shepherds that night.
"Okay! Let's begin." Sumia started putting all the ingredients they'll need in a table. "So, first we have to prepare the mix for the pie, pour it in this container, wait for the oven to make its own and doctorate it. Easy, isn't it?" She gave Vela a big smile.
"Well, I really hope so..." She bit her lip. Her face was full of concern and fear of herself. Last time went nothing but a great chaos.
"Oh, come on! It'll be fun!" Sumia's eyes sparkled with excitement.
Seeing her enthusiasm made Vela smiled and new determination filled her entire body. This time may be different hopefully. "Heh. Right!"
Both began adding the ingredients following the recipe. Everything seemed to be going pretty well, they were in a perfect synchrony. It really was a piece of cake as people used to say...
Add, mix, add, mix.
... Or so they thought.
Suddenly, while carrying the mixture to the oven, Sumia tripped with Naga knows what and spilled the whole mixture on Vela's dress ruining the one she was making. "Oops! Usually, I'm not this clumsy in the kitchen, I'm more careful with these things. I'm so sorry! "
"Don't worry. Our real problem here will be making everything again..." Vela forced a smile. She knew baking again was not her best idea and they were running out of time but spending time with Sumia was nice and both were having fun.
"We don't have another choice so,
here goes!"

"Agh! It's no use. This is a complete mess!" Sumia complained. "What in Naga's name went so wrong?!"
"Well, probably me trying to use the kitchen... again." She took a long breath "I'm so sorry, Sumia... if only I have told you earlier, we wouldn't be in this rush and everything would have been easier."
"Woah! What happened here?!" Cordelia's voice echoed from the kitchen's doors.
"Oh... hi."
"Well, we were trying to bake something for this night but as you can see it went pretty bad," Sumia sighted.
"Whose was the wonderful idea to let Vela get in the kitchen?" Cordelia said with a funny face.
"Hey! I know I'm not good at anything that has to do with kitchen stuff but that was mean!" Vela laughed.
Sumia and Cordelia laughed with her. "Well, don't worry. Lucky for you two, Stahl and I bought a big apple pie at the market. Something told me that we could need it," She winked them. "Gaius says it's the best pie he has ever eaten in his life. I suppose it really worth tries it."
"Gods... just imagine it makes me really hungry," Vela touched her belly. "I haven't eaten anything since we got here."
"Then we should go and get ready for the dinner," Sumia almost tripped with her feet as she ran and pulled Vela towards the door.
"Oh no, stop right there you two," Cordelia ordered, "You'll have to clean this up first."
Vela glanced at her companion. Sumia nodded. "Okay but only if you help us too!" The real fun was just getting started.
"H-Hey! Why me?!"
"Because we are a great team, aren't we? And nothing will stop us if we do it together!" Sumia smiled.
"She's right! Besides, it will be faster and we'll go and get ready in a blink of an eye."
"Heh. Guess I can't argue with that," Cordelia knew she was already defeated. "Look what I have gotten myself into..." She laughed.
"Awww! You love us!" Sumia winked and catch them in an embrace.
"I suppose I can't argue with that either but let's get started with all of this!"
"Yes, ma'am!"

Hello everyone!
This is for AnnaBanana813's February prompts. I really enjoyed writing it and I hope you enjoy reading it as well!
I tried to finish it as soon as I could because I'm in exams and they're killing me. Also, I'll be going on a school trip on Saturday so I decided to publish it this week.
Anyways, I'll remind you that my English is not perfect, I'm still learning the language so I'll beg you: if you see any grammar or spelling mistakes please tell me in the comments and I'll correct them immediately. Constructive criticism is more than welcome.
Have a nice week!
