A parallel worlds

Chapter 1

"RUN!" That's the last word I heard before the door closed and we started running. Running through thin corridors to the never ending forest. No, we're not some superheroes that can run really fast or werewolves like in the books and movies. No we're just .... us. A bunch of teenagers that somehow got trapped inside this parallel world.

Now you probably wonder how we got here and who we are, well I will tell you what happened.

*Flashback*

"Summer, are you ready yet? If we want to be on time we have to go now." I heard Diana shout. "Yeah yeah I'm coming" I yelled back from the stairs. I looked in the mirror once again and pulled my long brown hair in a messy bun. Then I ran downstairs where my friends were waiting for me. Because we had a few days off from school we decided to go on a trip to the beach with some friends. The sun was shining brightly today and it was actually pretty hot outside. We put our bags in the trunk of the car and road to the beach. Skyler, my best friend, was riding us to the beach. The whole ride was full of talking and singing along with the radio.

After we arrived, we actually had a pretty nice time at the beach : eating ice creams, swimming, playing pranks on eachother, building sandcastles ( yeah we still do that even though we are like 18 years old), ... And of course at sunset a walk on the beach...

"Omg omg, what's that thing there" I heard Amy yell while we were walking on the beach. She ran up to an abandoned caravan while we all followed her. Because she was to small to look inside, Jason picked her up so she could look. "oooh man that's so cool" Jack jelled before going to the door. "Jack don't even think about it" Zara said warningly. "Oh no there we go" Mary whispered in a sighting voice. And she was right. Jack and Skyler began to argue about the fact that he wanted to take a look and she said it was not theirs so they had to stay away (it happens more often that they fight).

Lucy began to lean against the door in boredom while suddenly the door cracked open and a portal was seen. Percy being the big hero tried to grab her hand but she was pulled into the portal screaming. "We have to go after her" Percy jumped behind her the portal in. We looked at each other in chock for a moment. "What are we waiting for we have to help them" Alice yelled as she jumped in the portal as well. We followed her into the portal. "I can't believe I'm about to do this" Skyler rolled her eyes and jumped in the portal as well. I jumped in right behind her letting the portal swallow me.

"We're in the world are we" Diana asked in a husky voice causing us all to come back by our senses. "I-i don't known" Lucy stuttered "I was just leaning against the door and..."she fell silent. "Don't worry it's not you're fau...""Oh. My. God." Amy said as she jumped up and took a look at herself. Her mid-long, brown hair was dry even though it was wet just a minute ago. That wasn't even the strangest part, instead of her red bikini she was wearing army pants with a black shirt and a sweater tied around her hips. We all looked at her and then to ourselves. I had almost the same clothes as her but I didn't have a sweater. I had a black jeans jacket and my long brown hair was still in my messy bun.

All our clothes consisted of army fabric or black and sometimes also a regular pair of jeans or shorts. My best friend Skyler was wearing a barrette on her head for some strange reason but she seemed to like it so I decided to just let it be. I looked at Diana to see how she was doing but she looked fine. She had a million dollar smile on her face and actually, I don't blame her because wow she looked good in her clothes. She was wearing khaki shorts with a brown belt and a dark blue shirt. She had a lightbrown jacket wrapped around her hips. 

We all stood there looking at each other and ourselves.

"Hey guys who are they" Robin spoke up as he looked around us. We looked up and saw a bunch of soldiers that were surounding us. They all had a weapon in their hands or a bow or a sword. 

(It was actually very surprising that they didn't have guns like normal people in the normal world but I guess this isn't our world anymore).

"Stay close to each other and don't move" Skyler said in a low voice. I looked at her and saw the confusion on her face. 'Why did I just say that' Skyler thought to herself.

"Maybe we can talk to them" Jack insisted as he walked to one of the men standing there. "Hey can you tell us where we are and why you are surrounding us we're a littlelost a.....". The man punched him in the stomach and he collapsed on the ground.

Being handcuffed and led to a camp is not so comfortable as it sometimes looks like in the movies. Like if you fall, you literally fall with your face first and you can't stop it, it hurts like hell, trust me. Jack was hanging over a mans shoulder still unconscious. He shouldn't have done that.

When we arrived we we're put in little rooms where we couldn't communicate with each other. It was really scary, waiting in that room. The only sounds you hear are footsteps and the opening and closing from doors. Hours passed and after some time my door finally opened and a boy and girl walked inside my sell. The boy had short black hair and brown eyes, he was very muscular and well built. The girl had long blonde hair and blue eyes she was a little shorter than the boy but that didn't make her less scary. When they signed me to come i didn't hesitate, I didn't want to start a fight with them at least not alone.

They took me to a room. A big room with on the right weapons and pictures hanging on the walls and on my left a large fireplace with some seats around it. I was so absorbed in the interior that I didn't even notice the man in front of me, sitting at a desk. The girl gave me a push against my back. I fell to my knees and looked up to the man. He had short grey hair and a grey beard. His green eyes looked straight in mine. I quickly tried to stand up but it is not that easy with your hands still tied on your back.

Long story short, he started to ask me questions and instead of the answers I gave him, he gave me answers on some of my questions. Turns out that his name is Grey and that he the boss is of this camp. It's a camp where people live together and train for battle against a mysterious lord who they name Lord Chaos. They are rebels who try to restore the balance or some strange shit. 

Now you know that, you wonder how the hell we got there running into the never ending forest like our life's depended on it. Well that was because our f****** life's really depended on it!

Somehow 'they' knew we we're there (whoever they may be). Yes we got our own weapons, no they didn't give us random stuff. Somehow we knew what weapons we needed (and wanted), so we took them got some backpacks with stuff in from Grey and the others and made ourselves ready to leave ...

"You are our only hope" Grey said to us as we stood there before him. "I may not know why you are here but I know this: you are here for a reason and maybe you can help us restore the balance of this world" I sighted. What is the balance he is talking about? I feel like we're in a movie or something.

Grey wanted to say something else but someone bursted through the door. It was a guy with brown messy curls and hazel coloured eyes, he was holding a sword in his hands, his arm was bleeding a little and he had dirty spots on his face (probably from mud or someting). "There on their way" he said out of breath. Grey nodded and looked at us "You have to go now before it's too late".

*Heavy footsteps outside*

"Go now. RUN!" We saw him take his leave with his sword in one hand shouting commands at everyone. As the door closed in front of us, we ran into the never ending forest...
