As she was making her way back to where she had seen them last, Anna finally found who she was originally looking for. As she turned to walk towards him, Anna decided that even though she was too old to play around like that, she couldn't help but decide to sneak up on him and jump. He always did hate it when she did that.

"Anna Ruby Richmond, if you even think about it, I will make sure that the rest of your life will be even more miserable until the day that you die."

If there weren't hundreds of people looking on, and if he didn't have a reputation he had to worry about maintaining, Director Orson Krennic swore he would kill his wife. Actually, there was a very long list of people that if it weren't for his reputation and position, the Director swore he'd kill.
Realistically maybe more like only two.
But there was only one person that mattered to him at the moment, and that one person was nowhere to be seen, and he seriously doubted that even after everything that goes on in the woman's restroom, it would take her this long to return. This meant only one thing; she had tricked him.

Orson decided that there was a small possibility that she had every right to, and that he had even deserved it to some degree, but even that being the case, he wasn't going to let her get off easy. In private, she could do whatever she wanted. He didn't care if he ever saw her again. In public however, was another situation entirely. Not only did he demand respect, and deserve it, but also appearances had to be kept. The girl could at least act like she wasn't completely forced to marry him.
His feelings aside, Orson decided he better find the girl regardless. After all like he had decided, appearances must be kept.
With that, he kept searching the crowd to find Anna.

"Anna Ruby Richmond, if you even think about it, I will make sure that the rest of your life will be even more miserable until the day that you die."
Even when her cousin turned around and was giving her his trademark galaxy famous 'I'm displeased with your current behavior' glare, Anna still couldn't help but to keep on laughing.
"It's nice to see you again too, Wilhuff." Anna finally said when she managed to calm herself down enough to speak. That earned her another one of his famous glares.
"How many times have I told you not to address me by my given name in a public setting?" Anna rolled her eyes.
"Too many to count?" She offered to no avail. Was he always this frigid, she wondered; he'd been gone so long...
Anna sighed. Then she promptly got an idea.
"So you want me to call you by a different name?" Anna asked him. Then right before Wilhuff Tarkin could answer her, knowing what he would say, Anna replied with a smirk and perhaps too much excitement in her voice, "Then how about I call you Willy?"
This time her colorful comments and laughing like a maniac earned her an eye roll and yet another famous annoyed glare from Tarkin.
"Anything but that." He replied in an annoyed voice. Then after Anna somehow, again, managed to calm herself down, "I'd forgotten how completely immature you were."
"Only to make up for you being completely boring!"
He decided to ignore her challenging comment for the moment and instead decided he'd better find out how she, his cousin, had ended up married to Director Krennic. After all when he'd left for his assignment, he had fully intended to come back to Couresaunt to see Anna again; reguardless of how annoying and immature she could be.
What Wilhuff Tarkin did not intend to do, however, was to come back to Coursent to see her marry Director Krennic of all people. All he knew was that she had better have been in a life and death situation when she made the choice to marry the Director, or there was a very real possibility she might now be. Even being distantly related to such a man as the Director was repulsive to Tarkin. He had to know how all of this had taken place. There were so many questions, even though he wasn't mad at Anna specificity, he needed to find out the answers to. Right now there was only one question however, that was more important then all of the rest. They could wait, but one particular question could not.
"Tell me," Tarkin asked, "Where exactly is your husband right now?"
Anna didn't answer him. She didn't have to. There was a saying, you speak about someone and then they appear. Unfortunately at that exact moment, Director Krennic just happened to find Anna. Fortunately however, he didn't spot Tarkin standing right there next to her right away.
Unfortunately though, he did happen to see Tarkin standing there midway through his sentence however.
"Where have you been?" Krennic hissed grabbing hold on Anna's wrist. "How dare you-!"
Luckily for Anna at that moment Director Krennic's attention was directed away from her and toward Tarkin.
  Uh oh.
"YOU!" The Director spat between clenched teeth.
"Director Krennic." Tarkin greeted him coldly. Anna had to admire how her cousin could stay so clam dealing with Krennic. She wished that she could say the same for the Director however, whose rage was slowly starting to get away from him.
"Governor Tarkin." Krennic asked his voice dripping with menace. "What are you doing here?" To Anna, he had the maniacal look of some deranged creature. She wasn't sure if she should be scared of him or completely turned on. Thankfully she didn't have to decide, for her cousin's response woke her from her momentary daydream.
"I was just about to ask the same of you."
Anna could have sworn she heard Director Krennic growl. Anna sighed. She wished she had a drink. And a table. She had a feeling she knew what was coming, and it would be good as dinner and a show. Unfortunately Anna decided that she had better step in. As funny as it would be to see them get into a fight, Director Krennic was all but already at that point, Anna decided it wouldn't make for a very good image for either of them. Including her. So she decided to step in. Literally. Before the Director had the opportunity to take a shot at Tarkin, he did look so ready, Anna stepped between them.
"Orson Krennic meet Wilhuff Tarkin. Wilhuff Tarkin meet Orson Krennic."
"I know who he is!" Director Krennic replied harshly, still looking ready to attack. "Tell me what he's doing here?"
"He's my cousin!" Anna snapped back at him, getting a little heated herself. The man didn't even know Tarkin, who was he to lash out at him.
That sent the Director over the edge.
"YOUR WHAT?" He raged. Anna had no idea how Krennic's yelling didn't send the entire complex into a dead halt. No one was really even looking, much less were they aware of what was going on. And the Director wasn't that quiet either. In fact, to Anna, he looked quite ready to pull out his blaster. In the end however, he stormed off.
Director Krennic glared furiously at both Anna and her cousin one last time, then turned on his heel and stormed off. In a way, Anna was glad to see him go. She didn't need all of this the first day that they were together. Also was she not entirely sure what all of that was about, but the more Anna thought about it, she figured that perhaps both her husband and cousin knew each other. Maybe they worked together? She would have to find out. But for now, she was happy that her husband had left, and she really hoped that he would cool off before she would have to see him again. If this was what he was going to be like all of the time...
Anna didn't finish that thought. Director Krennic was definitely proving to be extremely high maintenance. Her cousin might have the self control to deal with Krennic but what worried Anna was if she would be able to conduct herself in the same way if he had gotten angry with her in the same fashion. There were already many times where she would have loved to punch him in his smug face. Maybe she did have self control after all.

Anna spent the rest of the time catching up with her cousin. Since he had been gone so long, Tarkin definitely did have a lot to catch up on. He also found out the reason for Anna's unfortunate marriage to Director Krennic.
"I had a problem." Anna admitted to him after she had finished telling her cousin the reason for marrying the Director.
"Well he's your problem now." Tarkin told her taking a sip from his glass of wine. And even though he had mistaken what Anna was saying she had a problem with, she had to admit that ultimately Tarkin was right. She did indeed have a problem.

Sorry, not sorry. I regret nothing. I had this idea and thought it would be absolutely hilarious if Director Krennic and Governor Tarkin were related to each other through marriage. Just imagine how pissed off they would both be! And especially Director Krennic too! I doubt that there is a word for how much rage he would feel at knowing he was related to basically his archenemy. I do have to admit however that there is something extremely hot about Krennic being angry though. (Clears throat) Anyway, I hope y'all enjoyed this long overdue update! Here's to my sporadic updates! I'll try to get one more chapter out before the end of 2018! 😉
