"Cora!" Lucas, my little brother, shouts from downstairs.
"What do you want?" I shout back.
I hear footsteps running up the stairs and my door swings open.
"Can you stop studying for like two hours and come to the park with me?"
"No, Lucas. I can't."
I have been studying all weekend for a maths test I have on Monday. This is important for my final grade so I have to make sure I pass with flying colours.
"I'll bring the soccer ball," he grins and I smile, he knows me too well.
"Fine," I groan and he laughs, running back downstairs.
I guess this can wait. What's that harm of a couple hours break...right? Besides, I have been studying all weekend.
Woah, what a mood swing. I chuckle to myself as I quickly get changed into running shorts and a soccer jersey. I check that my necklace is still around my neck and hide it under my shirt.
"Cor, hurry up!" yells Lucas downstairs.
"I'm coming, jeez," I say and make my way downstairs.
There was my fifteen year old brother waiting with a soccer ball in his arms and a camera around his neck. He takes that thing everywhere.
He is obsessed with it! Something about wanting to capture the moment, I don't really know. He must have so many photos of me being an absolute idiot on there but I'm his older sister, that is my job.
He's standing there looking down at me with his blue eyes, that are currently being covered by his curly blonde hair. He is five foot seven and I look up at him at five foot four.
He looks a lot like our dad. He would kill me if I told him that though.
"Sis, stop staring and let's go," he rolls his eyes and walks out the front door.
"Bye Mum, we are going to the fields!" I shout to my mum who was out the back mowing the lawn with my six year old brother, Archie, and my ten year old brother, Michael.
"Be back by seven!"
I walk out the front door and close it behind me. I look up to see Lucas a few meters up the street already.
"I'll race you!" I yell as I run past him towards the fields, which aren't very far from our house.
"Hey, wait! That's not fair! You got a head start!" he shouts from behind me.
I turn my head to see if he is still behind me, and he is jogging with his camera in his hand recording me. I smile a big cheesy grin and I can see my dyed violet hair flying crazily behind me. Then suddenly I hit what felt like a brick wall and I start falling forwards.
"Ahh!" I scream as I fall.
"Ah, shit," says someone as I fall.
I look down and notice I have just crashed and fallen into a boy. I cringe as we both lay there on the ground. I look up to his face and notice a pair of hazel eyes already looking at me.
"Get off me!" I quickly get off him and stand up.
"Watch where you're going next time,"
he is dusting himself off as he gets up.
I can hear a slight British accent when he spoke and it sounds familiar. I can't place where I've heard they voice before.
"Oh, please. I doubt you were paying any attention. It's not that hard to move out of a girl's way," I say while dusting myself.
