Rory's PoV
I was walking down to the river near my orphanage. I wore the same outfit I wore everyday a beige tank top with an owl on it and Jean shorts. Leaves crunched under my combat boots and I brushed a stand of my jet black hair. I always kept it up in a ponytail. I looked into the the water's reflection as I reached the river my eyes looked like pools of chocolate. I unlaced my boots and peeled off my socks. I dived into the water before I noticed a tiny box at the bottom of the river. I resurfaced for air before diving back down and grabbing the box and swimming out I looked at box (see picture above) I heard someone whisper "open the box...." I open it it to find a necklace it had a upside down horseshoe pendant made from silver with five rubies in it. I hesitated before putting it on. There was a ball of black smoke before turning into a small sprite looking creature resembling a black horse made of smoke. "AH!" I shreak jumping back. "What are you" I'm Miakoda and I'm your kwami.
