Hoooo. I did not know standing for an hour tires you so much.
"Ique, here." I catch the water that was thrown at me.
"Thanks,Lie" She nodded her head and walked to the table.
I was here in a shop helping out my dad in his business. My dad owns a motor shop.
"Ique, halika nga dito" My dad is half-filipino and grew up in the Philippines that why he speaks their language.
I cant speak filipino but I can understand tho.
"Yeah dad?" I sat across him in his brown colored office. I was so proud of his office because its so clean compared to his room.
"Im going home for a while."
"Oh. So we'll be closing early today." I glanced at the front desk and saw Lie was there talking to a customer.
"No, honey I mean go back to the Philippines."He said. Stared at him. I was waiting for him to continue because I knew there was a continuation with that.
He sighed then said. " And I was hoping if you would come with me."
I remembered when I was young I would daydream one day ill go back to the Philippines and meet my grandparents for the first time. I would be so happy to meet them. After daydreaming I would run to dad and tell him. He would just chuckle.
But things were different now more than 10 years later.
"I dont know dad. Ill be missing school." I shrugged.
"I mean stay there for a while Like a year or two. And will move there summer then you continue school there." He was saying this wih his hopeful eyes. I can sense that he really whats me there but i dont know.
"What about the shop?" I ask. We cant just close it because its what we do for living.
"I ask your brother if he could do it." I nodded a bit shocked. My brother - Haru was my half brother from my mom's side. Haru and I does not have the same dad.
"Im still gonna think about it, dad" I smiled. I turned towards the door.
"Hope you'll come with me." He smiled and I returned the gesture.
