Stardew Valley (W/ Reader Insert)

Prolog

{3rd person POV}

      "Y/n come in for dinner!" Y/n's Mom yelled. She/he smiled thinking about what her/his mom could have made today. Y/n stepped inside to a wonderful smell. She/he saw lasagna.

      "Hello dear" y/n's grandfather spoke. Y/n smiled, laughing excitedly.
       "Hi grandpa!!" She/he yelled running over to hug him. After y/n hugged him she looked for her/his dad, but there was no site of him.

      "Mommy where's daddy?" Y/n asked. Her/his mom looked worried, but put a smile on her face.
      "Sweetie daddy is working late... really late so he won't be back for awhile" y/n's Mom replied trying her best to kept a smile on.

      "Okay Mommy, but can we eat now?" y/n asked.
      "Of course" she replied. The mom sat the dish of lasagna on the table, along with 3 plates. 

        As they ate y/n's Mom knew that y/n's dad wasn't coming back he was gonna be gone for a long time. But how was she supposes to tell that to a 5 year old?

                 {3 years later} 

      "Are we there yet?" Y/n question.
      "Yes now make sure to tell grandpa you love him and thank him for letting you stay got it?" Mom asked.
      "Yes mom I understand" y/n replied.
      "Oh don't forget your to get help for your homework.... okay?" Mom yelled
      "I got it Mom, I love you" y/n yelled as her mom drives away.

          Y/n walked inside and didn't see her/his grandpa anywhere. So y/n walk into his room to see him have a letter in his hand.
          "Grandpa?" Y/n asked.
           "Y/n I don't have much time so let me explain something.... this letter is for you" he said. Y/n took it about to open when.
        "No no don't open it yet, there will come a day where you feel crushed by every day life and when that day comes you may open this letter" he said.

        "Grandpa do you need me call mom?" Y/n asked. There was no response.
           "Grandpa?" Y/n asked coming over to him.
           "I love you y/n" he barely said before leaving he stopped breathing.

{20 Year's Later}
*Y/n's POV*

All I hear is typing nothing else. I look around seeing the two men watching over us. I sigh and I stop my work and opened my desk drawer.

I saw the note my grandfather had left me 20 years ago. I pulled it out and opened it.

Dear y/n,

If you are reading this you are in a dire need of a change.

The same thing happened to me, long ago. I'd lost sight of what mattered most in life... real connections with people and nature. So I dropped everything and moved to a place where I truly belong.

I've enclosed the deed to that place... my pride and joy {Farm name}. It's located in Stardew Valley, on the southern coast. It's the perfect place to start you new life.

This is my most precious gift of all, and now it's yours. I know you'll honor the family name, my girl/boy. Good luck.

Love grandpa.
Ps. if Lewis is still alive say hi to the old guy for me.

Oh my god... really Now? But... I'll take it, I hate this job. I got up walking past all the people working. I walked out at the work area and to my boss's room.

"Y/n? Shouldn't you be working?" He asked.
" I want to quit" I said.
"Really what makes you think I'm just gonna let you go?" He asked.
I took the deed out and showed him.

He studied the deed getting closer to read it, and I hear him sigh.

"If you really want to be a littered farmer then be my guest who would want to work a job that won't pay as well as Joja will?" He said.

"Well news flash! I do"

He rolled his eyes, "fine then. Leave"

That's what I did, I gave him a dirty glare. Joja is such a stupid company!

Welcome to the first and new story on this account, of course there will most likely be more.

Anyways to start! Me/Katniss and Cameron, are working together in this book by: Cameron is the main typer and I'm the editor. Part of the end was my part.

Anyways. If you the reader are to date someone it's not set in stone, on who, but most likely shipped with every one no matter gender.

Any who, me and Cameron have been over obsessed with Stardew Valley so I had the idea of making a book like this on out joined account. By the way fun fact(s) in Stardew Cameron is married to Alex, and I'm married to Shane :3 that wasn't needed but what ever.

So this book will be Boy/girl thingy. So it's equal!

But I think that's really all to say... oh and I; Katniss made the cover.

Plus we don't really have a posting schedule, so just random times when I 'threaten'; not really more of spam her on Snapchat. Cameron to make the next chapter so I can edit and it can be posted.
