Chapter Eleven- Pink and Blue Huh?

Start from the beginning

"Goodnight," He mumbles. I walk across the hall to my room and shut the door behind me. Tossing of the robe leaving me in my silk pajamas. I slide into bed and start to dozy off. A soft knock brings me up again.

"Who is it?" I ask as I sit up. I rub my eyes.

"Hikaru-" I sigh and lay back down.

"Come in I guess," I groan. He slides in and walks towards me.

"I can't sleep," He admits, "I told you its to lonely."

"So what do you want?" I ask him.

"Can I sleep in here?" He asks. I roll my eyes and scoot over. Leaving a space for him. He lays down beside me and takes the duvet pulling it over him. Weirdo.

"Miss," The nanny says as she knocks on my bedroom door. I sigh and start to sit up but two long arms kept me in my spot.

"Hikaru," I mumble. We were facing each other, so I poked his face.

"Mmmm," He groans.

"You have all of thirty seconds before my mob father barges in and murders you," I tell him. He releases me and I slide out of the bed to the door, "I'm up. Can you tell the cooks we have a guest?" She eyes the pink haired boy in my bed and nods.

"I will, but I'll forget I ever saw him in here," She says.

"Thanks Nanny Malia," I tell her. She smiles then leaves the room shutting the door behind her. I rush to my closet and I pull out two uniforms. Tossing on a Hikaru. "Just in case." He sits up and rubs his eyes, then takes the clothes. "Now get out."

"Why?" He asks, "you don't want to see me naked?"

"Not particularly," I tell him, "mob father remember."

"Right," He mumbles. He leaves the room finally leaving me alone. I pull on the other uniform then quickly run a brush through my hair. Getting everything ready then rushing downstairs. I see my father at the table finishing up his breakfast preparing to leave.

"Hello father," I say as I sit across the table.

"Hello princess," My dad says.

"So one of my friends, Hikaru actually came over last night because of some project. So I let him stay over. Sorry I didn't warn you, it got so late and you had finally got to sleep."

"Its fine," He says. He waves to my mother than ruffles my hair. Slipping out of the house. He was a man of almost no words. He never spoke much, and my mother, well she didn't anymore. My mother takes her plate then leaves me alone at the table. I sigh then catch Hikaru from the corner of my eye and he sits down beside me.

"Just us?" Hikaru asks.

"Yeah," I mumble, "mother normally stays in her studio all day. And my father well.... He's a dad. Not around much."

"Right," Hikaru says.

The other students stare at Hikaru and I as we walk through the school. I could hear people whispering about us. There were so many reasons: Hikaru's hair, Kaoru not being with us, Hikaru walking in the school with me. So many things. We walk into the classroom and I separate and take my seat by the window. "Hey Haruhi," Hikaru says, "Good morning."

"Morning Haruhi," I tell her.

"Hikaru, what in the world happened to your hair? Why is it dyed pink?" Haruhi asks.

"'Cause pink suit me. Don't you think it's cute?

From now on, I'm the pink haired twin," Hikaru says.

"Just smile and nod along," I whisper to Haruhi as I pull out my book.

"I didn't wanna be mistaken for that Kaoru for the rest of my life, you know," Hikaru says as whispers fill the room. I look up to see Kaoru with blue hair.

"Good morning, Haruhi. Y/n," Kaoru says.

"Hey," I mumble.

"So, Kaoru's the blue twin?" I hear someone say. Hikaru plops down beside me and I pull the book closer to me. He used to snoop on what I was reading but since I started reading in other languages his been leaving me alone.

"I was finally able to sleep all by myself last night," Kaoru says, "But I ended up having a nightmare. I dreamt that my stylist had dyed my hair pink. It was so garish and ridiculous looking I woke up screaming." I hear a loud thump and I look up to see Hikaru leg stretched to Kaoru desk, where Kaoru was on the floor.

"Boys," I groan. Kaoru gets up and pulls his brother from his chair. Prompting a war between them. "Want a copy?" I ask Haruhi. She nods and I pass over the same book I was reading but in a Japanese translation. Around us the twins throwing things at each other. Is this ever going to end?
