Hi. My name is Elise. If you've read the description to this story, you should have an idea of who I am, what I'm like, etc. If you haven't, then whatever. I won't say it again since you'll glide through a couple of these things while you're reading the chapter; but not all. I mean, that's pretty obvious. If I revealed it all at once, it would ruin the experience wouldn't it? So just sit down and relax, because I'm going to tell you what my life is like. However, let me warn you; it's not very pretty.
This story starts at a specific high school called Serene Peacock Collegiate Institute. I know, pretty fancy, isn't it? Our mascot is of course the peacock. It's not a very good costume, actually. Despite the good courses and opportunities this high school offers, it isn't very strict on rules. It basically doesn't give the slightest concern of where you are, and what you're doing. That's why there's many groups of delinquents in this school. The most notorious group of delinquents would be March and his gang. I heard that he's very um...sexually active. Well, my first priority here would be to not bump into March at all costs. Obviously, that didn't happen.
-6:30 a.m.-
My alarm goes off, and I vigorously get up to search for my clothes and smack the 'switch off' button on the alarm. "What a noisy little alarm," I quietly mumbled to myself. "Gosh where is my uniform when I need it?" I rummaged through my very small and messy closet to find my uniform. "Got it!" I put it on as quick as I could, took my toothbrush and cup and scurried downstairs. I could smell the omelette that my mom was cooking.
"Hey sweetie! Getting up nice and early for the first day of school, aren't you?"
I smiled my biggest smile at her. Seeing my mom first thing in the morning really makes it a thousand times better.
"Elise, why are you smiling so stupidly? Get to the table and just eat," said my father.
Oh, yeah. I forgot. Mom's not here anymore.
I sat down to eat my salad that my dad had just lazily put down. I mean, at least the tomatoes we grew ourselves made everything taste a lot better.
"The food's really nice, dad. Especially the tomatoes. Oh yeah, how's Elliot?" I asked. Elliot is my older brother who looks a lot like me. We get mistaken for twins often. He got a good scholarship and studied abroad, since he's basically a genius. Elliot went through a creepy phase where he loved me way too much though. He's not like that anymore for some reason. It's like he went through a trauma or something.
"Elliot just called me 10 minutes ago. Although it only lasted 5 minutes. He says he's alright but really stressed and wants to hear your voice. I told him to just get back to his studies."
"Oh, ok. I mean, better than nothing I always say," I said depressingly and then proceeded to sigh.
I finally finish up, brush my teeth and grab my jacket, backpack and boots. "Bye dad! Have a good day at work when you get there." He looked at me like he was going to smack me if I could just go faster instead of bothering to say bye to him. It's not like he didn't do that before though.
I get onto my bike and go to school. It's snowing really really hard here, and I'm not very good with cold. Nonetheless, I try to be as early as possible.
-7:30 a.m.-
I arrive at the school gates, and they open to me. I proceeded to enter school. When I enter, I see so many...people. And they're all really polished. Unlike me. I have really greasy hair even though I shower often. I really hate that. Sometimes I think it's the shampoo I use. My dad uses really luxurious shampoos, but he tells me to lay off on those and just use the dollar store ones. I probably came too early. I always have my iPad in my backpack though, so I pull it out and start playing some rhythm games.
"BUSHIMO!"
And with that, everyone starts to just stare at me. Heck. I forgot to turn the volume down when I was done playing at lunch.
"Is that girl playing some Japanese game? What a loser. I bet she's just doing everything on easy."
Actually, easy is really hard. It's too slow for me...uh - not that I'm bragging though.
Sooner or later, the convos about me just die down, and I grab my earphones. Why didn't I do that before? Well because I'm dumb and tired probably.
It's 9:15 a.m. Finally, the classes start. "Hmm...math, science, business and drama first semester. Doesn't seem too bad. Math is room...109. Where is th-" I say as I get cut off by turning at a sharp corner and bumping into something rock hard. Oh, by the way, I don't really use lockers until textbooks come around.
"Oh, who might you be?" A tall and muscular stranger with tan skin and absolutely clean white hair with green neon eyes to match asked me.
"It's...none of your business," I said like the 'really scared of boys' kind of person I am. His features were very distinct though. I wonder if he dyed his hair or something? This school isn't very strict I see. I tried to avoid him for the rest of the day. But, surprise! He's in all of my classes.
I got eyed a lot, specifically by that stranger I bumped into. He just kept squinting at me. I could literally feel it behind my back. But alas, I am finally free from the school that would be prison. I can finally go back home and play Fantasy Knights and hopefully I'll get the special new character. I walk a little bit until I hear some...moans?! It's happening in the alleyway a couple steps in front of me I believe. I really didn't want to look, but then I noticed that it was two guys that were moaning. Oh god. This school has gays doesn't it? I have to pass by that alleyway entrance too...I don't know a way back home other than that one! I'll just...watch until they leave. I could feel vomit climbing up my throat. Was I sick today or something? Must be a stomach flu. I hope they leave soon. When I peek at the two men, I realize something. "It's that stranger!" I mumbled to myself. He nailed another blond but beautiful guy against the wall and was aggressively kissing him and touching him as well. Ugh. How indecent. If you didn't know yet, I'm really homophobic for specific reasons. I could feel the vomit climbing higher. The stranger started to unzip the other guy's jeans and feel his assets as the other guy moaned really loudly.
"Haha. You really like that, don't you?" The blond guy nodded, but then the stranger covered up his mouth not so...gently. "But you can't make so much damn noise, alright?" I could see that the other guy was really suffering and kind of couldn't exactly breathe, but he nodded vigorously again. What's up with this guy? He's way too violent. Even if he's a homosexual which already makes me mad, he's abusing his partner in the process. Then without thinking, I shouted:
"What the hell do you think you're doing, you disgusting pervert?!"
