Thorax's POV
I kept hearing gasps outside. As I went to investigate, I gasped myself. Pharynx was helping Chrysalis to walk as she sobbed softly. Then without warning, Chrysalis just, passed out! I galloped to her side trying to awaken her. No luck. I held her in my hooves, and flew off to the castle. I then realized how battered up she was. Bruised left and right, is more like it. Even her horn was broken and cracked. As I laid her down, she moaned softly. I bandaged her injuries, Chrysalis groaning in pain now in then. She then started to mumble softly, tears beginning to fall, and her breath uneven. She must have been having a nightmare. Then I realized... she was dying. She had to feed! So, I did the only thing I could think of. I held her in my hooves, leaned in, and kissed her lips. I managed to connect our magic so she could feed. After it was done, I smiled as I gazed upon her. She was so beautiful! I can't believe I never noticed it before!
Three hours later, Chrysalis managed to awaken a bit. She was still half unconscious, but I tended to her. She would mumble softly, as if trying to speak. I was concerned. Yet after about an hour, she finally managed to awaken fully. She wasn't angry, cruel or afraid of me. She was just... confused. "Why are you doing this for me? After, all I've done...". She asked, sadness spreading on her face. I lifted her head, smiled, and replied, "You need it...".
