Chapter 1

"So you then carry the 1 and then you have the answer" said the teacher.

I sat in my usual spot in the classroom, I was as bored as ever I mean its maths what else can I say. To escape the boredom that is school I thought back to my dream the previous night, I was with a faceless man fighting back to back in some sort of war. We were fighting as if we had known each other for ages, but I couldn't find out who he was because of he had no face which was quite weird. I remember saying his name though, I think it was Dan or Dante. I wondered if I had met him before or would I meet him the future-

'Hey, are you ok' Elise my best friend whispered in my ear ripping me right of my daydreaming.

'Yeah sorry, I just.......Blacked out' I replied and I went back to paying attention to the teacher.

'Staring Ex, 9:00' she whispered interrupting me once again.

'Huh' I said getting agitated.

'Just look four seats down, to your left' I looked to see my Ex-Boyfriend Jack staring daggers at me. The eye contacted lasted several long seconds-

Suddenly there was a crash that made us all jump, screams followed the sound.

'Students get under your tables now, this is a lock down' screamed the speakers.

I looked back at Jack but he had disappeared into thin air and then I looked back at Elise to see her frozen in fear. Everyone was under their desks.

Elise was looking at something, so I looked followed her eyes and found a huge man. He looked like a body builder and looked like he ate kids like me for dinner, he had long brown hair that touched his shoulders and dark eyes, his eyes looked hollow and full of rage.

'Where is Elise Brown?' He said in a dark, deep commanding voice, that made my spine straighten and sent a shiver all over my body.

'What do you want with her' I asked braver then I felt.

'Who are you?' He questioned staring at me with those dark horrifying eyes, he made me feel like an ant compared to him.

'Answer my question first' I replied with a bit more confidence.

'Excuse you, who do you think you are talking to' He said stepping closer, with a slight smirk on his face as if he was enjoying this.

I took a step closer too and returned his smirk 'I think I am talking to an intruder, who is really stupid if he doesn't back off!'

'Violet stop!' Elise yelled 'If he wants me he can take me, just please don't hurt her.'

'There she is, oh and you should listen to her sometimes, that's if you do have another time' He laughed walking to Elise.

When he was about to grab her I ran at him, grabbed his arm and bent his arm behind his back and then pushed him to the floor. He let out an agitated yell of pain, but he was quick to recover.

'Everyone get out of here, including you Elise' I screamed as everyone rushed out of the room, I counted them as they left but still there was one missing and it was Jack, but I didn't have time to worry.

'No Violet, I won't leave you, this is my problem not yours' She said tears streaming down her face.

I sighed 'Elise you have too..."but before I could finish the man yelled

'What the hell, Who Are You!' He charged at me

'You've got some serious anger issues dude' I said laughing.
