Once upon a time in a far off land there was a kingdom.
It was ruled by a noble king who gave his all to his people. Listening to their needs & desires fulfilling each one, sometimes personally. By his side was a compassionate queen. Renowned for her kind & giving nature welcoming all into the castle, not letting a single soul sleep on the cold streets. She was said to have at least one cup of tea with every citizen making the citizens love her even more. Thus The kingdom was filled with love and virtue. It was a bittersweet day when a princess was blessed upon their world. With rosy cheeks, bright (e/c) eyes full of joy & a smile that could light up worlds.
It was a difficult birth for the queen. Barely being able to get one look into her daughter's eyes as she faded from the living world Leaving The kingdom in confusion, both in celebration for the princess's birth & mourning there darling queen's death but soon came to a peace with it all.
all too quickly years trickled by. As a pleasant surprise to the all, the princess's kindness matched that of her mother's if not surpassed it tenfold & the kingdom loved her dearly. She was there own sweet princess.
The king however was finding that the burden of caring for a kingdom, let alone for a child on his own was taking its toll on him . Even with the entire kingdom caring for the young princess he couldn't help but feel she might be restless without a mother to call her own.
Thus he set out on a white steed to find a new queen. Searching in all the kingdoms of the land. From land to sea, from meadow to mountain. Praying that she might be half as kind as the prior queen. the king grew frantic searching for a new queen as months passed by seemingly at the blink of an eye.
until finally he found & settled upon a beautiful maiden with large front teeth he met in a neighboring kingdom downstream. Proudly the king returned to his kingdom harboring his lovely new wife, unknown to the fatality of his decision.
Unbeknownst to the king was how cold his new queen turned out to be behind his back. She was respectful enough to those around her, but malice laced each of her breaths. her words always seeming to be careful & articulated as thought they were a delicate blade waiting patiently to stab through you.
No one faced this cold behavior more than darling princess (y/n).
The king, while he did adore his new wife, he loved his daughter the most. putting her before everything & still mourned his first wife's passing. The new queen grew envious of the young princess. Not only did the princess have the love of the king, but she had the entire kingdom wrapped around her little pinky, While the kingdom still were weary of the new queen. She tried to hide her envy & growing hatred but couldn't help sending cold glares and occasionally outstretched legs on the princesses path. As years past the queen's cruelty became more and more prominent from verbally degrading the princess to refusing to feed her and locking her up when the king was away on business. The princess kept her mouth shut tight not wanting her father to suffer from any more stress than he already was
But one day the king was late to return from his venture. Two days late from his venture, than a week late, than a month. All this time the princess waited patiently while the queen slowly tightened her grip on the kingdom making her place as the new ruler. Soon She banned all from leaving the kingdom placing a dark curse on all the kingdom's guards to force them to obey her command. She mistreated her people, treating them as lower life's. The citizens suffered in silence for fear a dark spell would be their demise and waited in desperate hopes that there old kind king would return to rescue them. As for the princess she was trapped in her own room in the highest tower in the castle forced to watch her people suffer. When she was fed She was put on a diet similar to a mouse's of only stale bread & water. Her only saving grace was the kind huntsman who delivered her food, sometimes sneaking bits of his famous oden into her bird cage of a tower. This went on for what felt like an eternity and soon days began to blur into weeks then months, when finally seven months had past.

After the months had past the queen had grown quite bored with the kingdom, it was a little dull now that she had everything she wanted.sighing to herself the queen went on one of her daily strolls through the castle hoping to find hidden treasures. After wandering down the pillar of stares the queen came upon a cellar. the queen shivered at its cold and musty atmosphere blankets of dust covering everything in sight with decaying walls she slowly made her way through the eerie cellar taking steps between each sneeze as the dust clouded her senses. Suddenly as the queen took a step she stubbed her toe into a lump in the rug below her feet causing her to fall. stumbling the queen grumbled to herself cursing the the mysterious object under the rug vowing to destroy whatever disturbed her daily stroll she hastily stood up and snatched the rug up letting out a triumphant huff. The queen's eyes widened as her eyes fell upon a trap door. Thoughts and dreams of treasures beyond one's wildest dreams took over her mind as she Quickly lifted the trapdoor. Underneath revealed a dank and dark staircase. The queen took careful and thought out steps down the old stone stairs. The stairs were covered in cobwebs and dust, and stone wall crumbling after centuries of existence. Walking down the hidden corridor the queen came upon large Mahogany door bolted shut with various types of locks all along its surface. Snapping her finger all the locks came undone after all, lock picking was one of the simplest spells. Slowly creeping the door open the queen stood to see a small barren room with dark bricks for walls and strangely enough not a hint of the dust that was so prevalent in other rooms. Upon entering the dingy & dark room the queen took note of a large blanket draped over a tall cylinder object in the of the room. Curiosity in her gaze as she slowly approached the mirror removing the cloth. Under the cloth was an mirror that reflected an beautiful youthful queen as the queen admired her form her face contorted into a rage filled sagging old face with no teeth. The queen stepped back in shock with a "sheeh" passing through her lips as The mirror finally shown a face like that of a theater mask.
"Hello my queen, it's quite the scene seeing such a shocked face in this old place" spoke the mirror
The queen stood before the mirror racking her brain for explanations suddenly recognizing it as a enchanted object. The mirror had an old archaic spell on it so it could bestow any knowledge upon Its owner only ever speaking the truth, mirror would answer all her question no matter how bizarre so she spoke. The queen was quite bothered by the picture first shown before her on the mirror so Taking a step forward the queen began.
"Mirror mirror on the wall who had the best teeth of them all, Zanzu?"
The queen grinned at her own question. Of course she had the best teeth, she flossed and polished them twice a day. They were so sparkly they could blind a man. flashing her large front teeth to the mirror it paused a moment before answering
"In times past it was you my queen but it seems someone else has taken that crown" displayed on mirror was an image of the young princess smiling with bright white teeth.
the queen shrieked a large "Sheeh" coming from her mouth, loud enough for all the kingdom to hear. Engulfed in a fury to match the hottest flames in hell the queen stormed out of the basement into throne room screaming for the huntsman to be brought to her immediately. As the short man entered the throne room he shuddered with terror at the queen's evil aura.
"Chibita the huntsman, is it true that you have the best shot in all the land, Zanzu? Asked the buck toothed queen taking seat in her golden throne.
Trying to be brave the short man replied taking a step forward "y-yes queen Iyami! I got the best shot idjit! He announced as if the whole kingdom was there to witness it.
with her head lowered the queen began "Well than....I want you to take the princess into the woods and shoot her through the heart" grinning at her own plan to once again be the fairest in the land
"What!?" Screeched Chibita. He had been a devout and loyal servant to the royal family from birth. The king and queen had been so kind to him treating him as their own and as for princess, he had many fond memories of playing with the princess in the courtyard as children, and he would dare to say he was one of the princess's best friends. he could never do such a vile thing to her. Rearing up to give the queen a piece of his mind the queen took note and interrupted him. Clenching her fist the queen roared and stood to her feet "You will do as I say or I'll execute you both myself zanzu!" in doing so the guards readied their weapons, cursed to do the queen's bidding.
The huntsman stood his ground before sighing in defeat looking towards the ground, he gave a faint nod "yes my queen...." The queen sitting back down and gesturing for her guards to rest continued on her plan "when you have shot her you shall bring me the arrow you used to kill her, as the blood on the arrow shall proof you have done the deed" with that the queen dismissed the huntsman
turning his back to go back to his sleeping quarters to mull over the next day's big events, A small grin formed on his lips. The queen fell for his act, for if he were to perform the deed himself, He could find a way to let the princess live.
