A Person

The one who makes me laugh so hard,

The one who makes me cry.

The one who makes me ache inside,

The one who dries my eyes.

There's always one like this in life,

A person, comrade-in-arms.

A person who infuriates you,

But you'd just trust your life with them, no qualms.

This, my friends, is your sister,

Or brother if you've one at hand,

The half that's a familiar stranger,

Or the yin to your yang.

So although they may say they hate you,

Or do something that they regret,

You'll pick them up, dust them down, comfort them,

That's the best part of sister-ing yet!
