Chapter 2 - In the city of Los Angeles ?

Start from the beginning

Walking outside, I watched as K-Ci held a flaming toaster in his hand. Dalvin constantly telling him to throw it in the pool. Their backs turned towards me. They just always gotta do dumb shit. "What is y'all doing?" I groaned, as my eyes squint because of the bright sun. "K-Ci dumbass made the toaster catch on fire and now he scared he gon get electrocuted if he throw the toaster in the pool." Dalvin says, looking in the direction of K-Ci and the flaming toaster. How in the hell?  "Give me the damn toaster!" Dalvin stomps over to K-Ci, while K-Ci just stood at the edge of the pool holding the flaming toaster above the water. Dalvin snatches the toaster out of K-Ci hand before dropping it in the water.

All of our eyes were on the toaster as the fire vanishes and as the toaster floats to the bottom of the pool. K-Ci angrily pushes Dalvin out the way before he walks to the backyard door. "What the fuck you got on?" K-Ci stops, looks me up and down with pure disgust. "Yea De, why you come out here with yo draws on and yo meat all out?" Dalvin chimed in, stopping on the side of K-Ci.

Looking down at my attire, I didn't even realize I didn't have on anything besides draws, but I don't care these niggas woke me up from my slumber. "First, yall was about to set this man house on fire, and second, I'm a grown ass man I can do what I want." I smirk as I walk back into the kitchen.

Jojo sat at the table, quietly eating cereal that is until he seen me. "Where in the hell is yo clothes?" He asked almost choking on his food. "Why yall act like y'all ain't never seen a man in draws, y'all acting like I'm butt ass naked." I say defensively I honestly don't see nothing wrong with walking around with just draws on, even though I didn't do it intentionally. Jojo just shook his head, then going back to eating his cereal.

Deciding to get my day started, I make my way towards the stairs, remembering I got to call Andre and tell him about completing 'Stay'. Hopefully he'll change his mind about us being out here in Los Angeles.

When I found out we had to leave the head quarters of Uptown Records, in New York to go to a small office in Los Angeles to make some adjustments on the album and more publicity, I was upset. I was fine being in the shadows as long my music was heard and enjoyed I didn't really care if people knew me or not.

It was too late for that anyway. We've only released one single, and appeared on one television show, and the ladies loves us. And trust me, we love the ladies too.

I open the door to my room before walking in towards the connected bathroom. As I stand over the face bowl I glance at my reflection in the mirror before reaching to grab my toothbrush and toothpaste. I couldn't help but to think about New York. Thats really the only place I want to be right now, not in no damn LA. I feel like theres no opportunities here for us like there is in New York. I just couldn't wait for this summer to be over with so I can get back to New York.

Once done showering and getting dress I grab my pager and my Jodeci chain just before realizing I have to make a important phone call call. I pick up the telephone before dialing the number and putting the telephone to my ear waiting for her to pick up. As the rings continued, I grew worried to why shes not answering the phone, maybe shes still mad at me. A raspy voice spoke into the telephone, interrupting my thoughts.

"What do you want Donald?" By the tone of her voice and calling me by my first name, I could tell she was still angry with me. "Put Dyana on the phone." I said ignoring her stupid ass question I didn't have time to argue with her today I just wanted to speak with my daughter.
