Abigail, a sweet young girl with soft black curls and wide emerald green eyes, sighed as she looked around at the pink walls of her hospital room. She was rather lonely as she had no family and friends. Sitting on her bed she pulled the art set that the doctor had given her a few weeks prior to this cold December day. Picking up a brush she began to be absorbed by the soft calming motion of painting, soon the young girl was startled out of her thoughts by a voice.
“Why do you have so much faith?” The voice was that of a male. The young girl looked up startled at the sound to see a man with hair blacker than a raven's wing and eyes as blue as the sky. As she watched the man continued, “why do you sit there clearly dieing and yet you have so much faith with in my father?” At the mans words the Abigail looked down at her picture which she had named “The Angel’s Gather and Rejoice their Fallen Brethren” it was a picture with several angels surrounding a different angel, Lucifer. She looked up at the man and began to speak. Her voice weak from the prolong time of which she had not talked.
“Without faith, Mr.Morningstar, there's no hope that the world will be different in the future. There’s no hope that the world will someday release that they need to bound together for the good of the world. There is no hope that I will get better. I believe that if I really try some day in the future I will change the world. That when they think of Abigail Mary Dawer they don't think of the little girl who died at sixteen years, though physically looks fourteen years, of age from leukemia and anemia but rather a bright young woman whom had changed the world. What do you believe in Mr.Morningstar?” The young 16 year old asked the man. He was beyond speechless at the young girls words. He let out a soft sigh before admitting.
“I don’t know.” The angel without grace said looking out the doorway at the hospital beyond it. “I don’t feel as if my father cares...” he was stopped by the feeling of a small outrageously cold hand pressed against his arm.
“Many people have to choose between what is right and what is good in the world.” The young girl started, her voice sounding ancient as she spoke the words. He looked at her green eyes startled “As much as you would like to think it..angels and our lord and savior is no exception to this. But you must have faith that things will work out for the best in the end. Regardless of whether you wanted the out came or not.” Their talk was cut short by the appearance of the man's partner.
“Lucifer? You ready to go?” The woman asked. Lucifer Morningstar sighed in recantation.
“You’re Chloe Decker! I’ve seen you on TV many a time before! I'm Abigail” the young girl said as she smiled at the woman who smiled right back at the child’s eagerness, which she found indoring.
“Hello Abigail” she replied softly, before she turned to her partner.
“Are you ready to go?” she asked again.
“Yes i am” he replied.
“Will you came to see me again?” The teen asked biting her lip. The devil only smiled at the young girl.
“I'll try.” Despite the vague answer she smiled so brightly Lucifer was sure the Angels in heaven could see it. Reaching towards the devil she gave him a big hug. One that left him puzzled, ‘Why do I feel this way?’ he hugged her back, before going to his partner at the door. She was speechless to say the least. They walked out the front passing doctors who also were speechless as the young female was not known for talking.
