I have a hand on my stomach. There is a slight curvature to my stomach as there wasn't there before. I am getting worried trying to figure out a solution. The news that Draco and I are married spread like wild fire and got around the whole school in only a couple of weeks. Now months have passed and its still the talk.
On the other hand we haven't been getting very far at all with our task given to us by Voldemort. Draco had placed a curse on a necklace trying to get that to Dumbledore, but with no luck. And in the process, sending a girl to the hospital. She comes back to school today and for Draco's sake I hope she doesn't remember a single thing.
I glance up form the book I have been reading and see a head of bushy brown curls crossing the library. Hermione Granger is there and suddenly my answer is right in front of me. I get up, not thinking about if she will help me or not, and cross the library to meet her.
"Hermione..." I start. Once she sees my face she tries to walk the other way but I catch her arm. "What do you want? I can't be seen talking to you." She says averting her eyes. "Why because Ron will be mad at you? Screw him. I am your best friend." I say trying desperately. "No you are not my friend." She says, clutching her book to her chest.
"You of all people should understand what it is like to be different and need to earn respect." I hiss. I see her eyes flinch slightly. "Are you done? Because I need to be going, I have places to be." She turns to go. "I'm Pregnant." I say, not knowing how else to put it. She whips back around. "What?" She says, eyes bright.
"You heard me." I say. "Whaa-" And for once in her life Hermione Granger is lost for words. "You can't tell anyone. It has to be kept a secret or..." I couldn't tell her the real reason otherwise she would go running for the hills. "But your sixteen." She gulps, finally finding her voice.
"I need you to help me. My stomach won't stay small forever." I say. She nods then pushes me down the isle so we are even farther from the few people here. She takes out her wand and mutters a few words under her breath. The slight bump goes down. "That should do it." She says. "Thank you hermione. And I miss you." I say. She hugs me. And for the first time in a long time I feel ok again. I missed my best friend.
