"Are you sure you're okay, Alex? Tell the truth." said the agent, his fingers clicking on the cold metal.
"Sure. It's been two months. It's not like I can mourn forever." I said, tears brimming in my eyes, but wiping them before they could fall.
"Well, I'll see you in a week." He said, picking up his papers.
I always hated the smell of beer. Maybe it's because my dad always had it, lingering around him. I sniffed, my nose scrunching up. My head started pounding. I wanted to enjoy my last days here. I was being shipped off, away from my friends. Away from everything. Everyone has been different around me. They acted like I had the plague. I then got off of the dusk covered couch, my nose wrinkling even more from the dust. I walked over to my boyfriend, sitting in his lap.
"Hey A, you finally got enough of the dust," he said, a smile on his face.
"Yeah, they were quite boring," I said, kissing him. I smiled, a smile that didn't quite reach my face.
"You wanna go somewhere?" he said, starting to sit up.
"Sure. I hate the smell of alcohol anyways." I said, stretching my arms.
We walked over to the front, to the door. People patting me on the shoulder, saying their goodbyes. I didn't want to go. As we walked over to the door, Jasper held my hand, comforting me. We ran to his car because it was raining. When we got in their, I could see my breath. I was shivering too.
"Here, take my jacket until the heaters get hot." He said, taking off his jacket, leaving him on with just a thin shirt.
I could see the broad muscles. My face flushed a bit, from staring. His brown hair was wet, and he shook it like a dog, leaving little water droplets on the leather seats. I smiled a real smile. I leaned over and kissed him on the cheek. I then turned on the radio, hating the silence. He took off into the windy road, making sure to watch for drunken teenagers. When we got close enough, he made me close my eyes.
"Don't peak. You'll ruin it if you do," he said, concentrating on the road. He took a couple of lefts, then turned off the engine. The rain had stopped to a little drizzle. He then guided me to a stop.
"Okay, are you ready?" he said, giddiness in his voice. I shook my head yes. I then felt his warm fingers at my face. He took of the blindfold, leaving me to look at something beautiful.
