"It's coming!"
"Watch out!"
People wailed as they saw the what looked to be the second end of the world. All around me I saw vast amounts of children being ripped away from their families. Homes being decimated right in front of my very eyes. All of this carnage taking place and all I could do is watch helplessly. Mankind as we know it was about to be totally wiped out. The world would end and this time for good.
"Clement bud, wake up."
"Don't kill me! Please! I'll do anything!"
"Clement I'm your father why would I kill you?"
"Sorry. Had a bad dream."
I was tempted to tell him I've had more than one but the problem with that is my dad has severe anxiety. I once got bit by a mosquito and he thought I was going to die. So, as any caring, loving child would do, I didn't say anything. Instead I got up, went to the bathroom, washed up, and ate breakfast like any other day.
After breakfast I decided to change up my daily routine for once. Usually after breakfast I tend to the vegetable garden then I go to the sector square where the pond is and I feed the Leopees. Today however, I decided I was going to the downtown area of the sector. Here is where I will attempt to get a job. Although
my household is in good shape, eventually I will have to start supplying for myself.
"Clement I need you to go ch-"
"Papa, I'm sorry but today I can't. I'm going out to do what you always try to force me to do."
"And what's that smartass?"
"I'm going to become a man. And I'm going to be more of a man then you ever will be."
"We'll see about that."
He almost burst into laughter when I said what I said. Just by the look on his face I could tell he wasn't even phased by anything that came out my mouth. Suddenly he clutched me in his arms forcefully and pinned me against the wall.
"I dare you to say that again."
I remained silent for a few moments.
"Say it again you son of a bitch!"
"IM GOING TO BECOME A MAN. AND IM GOING TO BE MO-"
Within a matter of seconds I went from reiterating to jockeying for consciousness as he punched me square in the face and knocked me right off my feet.
"You aint' half the man I am."
As soon as he turned around I mustered up enough strength to grab the glass on the table nearest to me and throw it at his head. The moment it hit him I darted for the door and ran for my life. Luckily for me he didn't follow me. Must've been a good throw.
