Silver

My eyes wandered around the room as I paced around my now empty room, from the details in the walls, down to the layout of the wooden floor. My belongings were packed away in the luggage waiting by the doorway, and the carry-on by my side. I reminisce about the lovely memories I had made during my stay in America. I went down the hallway to where my parents were,

"Mum, Dad, I'm going over to the Parker's" I knew they would question why, "I know I know, I just want to let them know that I will be going to Beijing. I also know that Dre will be there too, so a little scare would be nice before the long flight."

"Honey, I think we raised a possible devil child." Dad joked before nodding and agreed to let me go over. Mum took my luggage down so I won't have to carry it with me.

"We'll pick you up on the way with the cab," Mum said as I waved to her.

The walk to the Parkers took a few minutes, I synced my headphones and walked to the beat of Fairytale by Alexandar Rybak. I reached their apartment, knocked twice and Sherry let me in. She led me to Dre and I closed the door behind us, I gave the fakest sad look to the guy,

"I guess, you will be free from now on. I'm moving back to my hometown, see you never." With the faintest smile I can pull, I walked out of the room and before I could reach the front door, Sherry pulled me into a hug and gave me a wrapped gift.

"It's for you, I heard you were moving so I wanted to give you a little something as thanks for being Dre's friend." She gave me another hug before letting me leave. On my way out, dad texted me that they were outside. I sped walked out and climbed into the vehicle. Mum noticed the gift in my hand and asked what it was, I shrugged before opening it to reveal a fluffy iPhone case, a bit useless to me as my phone is an android.

Time-skip

Mum and dad were asleep meanwhile I was surfing through the movies the flight offered, my eyes were starting to feel a little sore, I unbuckled my seatbelt and before I could press the assistant button, someone already showed up looking nervous. I guess the reason why there's no one else in the business class is that my parents booked out the area to avoid any stress on the flight.

"Could I get a shot of espresso?" I asked nicely, the man nodded and rushed off, he came back and handed my drink, I managed to put a 50$ tip into his jacket pocket before he could leave. I packed my laptop and wrote a little note for Mum. I downed the caffeine and went for a little walk around the aircraft. I walked around the people and enjoyed the overall busyness of the plane. That was until I heard a very familiar voice, something along the lines of perfecting their Mandarin. I followed the voice and found the Parkers'. This will be fun when I see Dre's reaction.

"Go Dre, ask him!" Sherry urged him to talk to a man across the aisle, "ni hao mao, ni de ming shi shi shen meh?" He asked in gibberish, the guy leaned over in confusion and looked slightly uncomfortable,

"Dude I'm from Detroit," the man replied,

"Oh um.. Sup?" The guy shrugged and went back to he's business, I stepped in.

"Hey Sherry, Hi Dre. I guess we both have to same flight!" I smiled sickly sweet at them,

"Oh hi Silver! I guess we do, which class are you in? I didn't saw you at the departure?" Sherry asked,

"Oh I'm in business class with my parents, we were the first one on the aircraft maybe that's why," I smiled,

"That's nice, have you been practicing Mandarin too?" Dre asked, I'm surprised.
