I can say that since I am young, I have this space in my heart for arts. At a very young age, I have already shown skills for arts, but I admit it is not good as the others. I am more an artist who copies and patchwork tiny details from different art and combine it into one. I am more an artist who loves to color than an artist who loves to draw from scratch. Honestly, I cannot draw a certain thing just out of my pure imagination. I always consult the help of pictures and just redefine it personally.
Being a low key artist I am, I have the chance to explore my talent for Adobe Photoshop, as it is being taught in my 7th grade school year 2012-2013 computer class. What also helped me as well is how my aunt started her own personalized shop on the latter part of the year 2012. I was able to enhance more my Photoshopping abilities as my aunt let me design some of the orders in her personalized shop. But, this does not mean that I am an expert of Photoshop. I only know the basics and I find it hard to create a design from scratch, which is why I always search in the internet to find a template to copy.
Since 2012, I am bound to the walls of photoshop only. I do not know any software that will help me in creating better designs. That changed on the year 2016 on my 11th grade, many of my classmates how they edited, designed and created their beautiful poster in canva.com. Of course, being curious I am, I decided to try it out, but sadly on my first tries I find it hard to cope with it. I cannot make good designs despite the wide availability of ready-made designs. I find it hard to customize some of features of selected templates. But that is only until the year 2016 because on the start of the year 2017, I was bombarded with so many projects and school works that needs poster and designs.
I tried Canva once again, and I was very happy with all the designs I made. Although, there are some limitations with canva that I still need to edit it on photoshop, I find it easier to use because of the ready-made templates in this website. Canva has allowed me to design superb advertisement posters, campaigns, book covers, headers, company logos, etc. It has allowed me to create something extraordinary with only the limited time I have. It has allowed me to work and design faster as compared when I do not have any idea of what art to make.
I do not know, maybe if I wasn't able to discover Canva.com from my classmates, up until now and in my future as well, designing an important stuff may take me a whole day long to create and finish it. Which is why, I am thankful for this website as it helps me redefine what my artist side is to offer.
