SUMMER DAYS AT THE ORPHAN AGE for fourteen year old Tyler were days of happiness, she would often sit underneath a tree reading Stephen King novels, and admire the beautiful scenery. The girl wasn't that fond of other humans, she hated being stared at or touched, the reasoning of this was that Tyler had come from an abusive home.
The only reason she'd even come to this place was a terrible fire, she remembered her older sister, Persephone, helping her out the window, half her face seriously burned. Before the girl could escape, the building gave way and just like that, Persephone was gone.
"God I miss you Perry..."
Tyler sighed, continuing to read her book. She suddenly heard someone coming and turned to see her best friend, Kate. The girl sat next to her, Kate was the only one who was able to even sit next to Tyler.
"Hey Ty." Kate said, looking at the girl's book, It. Kate remembered watching the movie, Tyler seemed to love it, while Kate didn't see most as she was covering her eyes and ears.
"Hello, Kate." Tyler said, not even glsncing up from her book. She finished the last few words of the chapter before putting in her bookmark, and setting it down in her lap. "How're things?"
