It was a hot summer day in New York City and the bakery on the street was loaded with people. Orders for birthdays, summer parties, or just for themselves was thrown at the employee working at the counter.
"Okay! And when do you need your order done by?" Said the employee sweetly.
"Anytime this week will be fine!" Replied the customer kindly.
"Alrighty! Thank you for purchasing at Katlyn's bakery, please come back soon!" Responded the employee.

The customer smiled and walked out of the bakery.
" Next in line please!" Announced the Joyce, the employee.
Up walked a very angry looking person, she could tell this was going to be frustrating.
" Listen here, I've been waiting all day just to make my order! I demand I get mine free!" Shouted the man to Joyce.
" Sorry sir, but lines exist I'm afraid." Bluntly replied back Joyce.
" I'm not leaving till I get my order free!" Hollered the man.
"Well, I hope you like being dragged out of stores then" replied back Joyce.
"Wait, wha-"
Before the man could finish two security guards grabbed him by the arms and pulled him out the store.
"You'll regret this young lady! You will!" Yelled the dismaying man as he stormed off down the street.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever.." Mumbled Joyce.

Hours passed and Joyce finally closed the bakery for the day. She locked the doors shut and headed her way home. It was quite dark, but she didn't mind, it brought her calmness after the rough day she had. She felt the vibration of her phone in her pocket, she thought it was from her lover, considering she was having to look after their shop while they were on business vacation. She reached for her phone and pulled it out, the message read " Hey love! Thanks for looking after my bakery while I'm gone, it means a lot. Anyways, I just wanted to say that I got a new employee for the bakery, they'll be working in the kitchen. Her shift starts tomorrow, so I hope you'll be there to greet her. Love and miss you!"
"Oh how great, a new employee." Joyce thought.
" Maybe I'll get along with this one, I almost chopped off the last ones hand, haha.."

Her thinking ended as she walked up onto her front porch, taking the keys out of her pocket. She opened the door and closed it behind her as she entered.
" Dear god, finally I'm home.." She said exhaustingly.
She headed up the stairs and entered her room. She plopped down on the bed and let out a long sigh.
" I never want to leave this bed, save my soul"
In no time she had already fallen asleep, too tired to even cover up or turn off the light.

Morning came and she was about to sleep in till her brother came in. He always makes sure she's right on time, he thinks he's being helpful, but to her she sees it as him being a total douche.
"Wake up sleepyhead! The bakery's waiting on you, plus you got a new employee and you need to be there to greet them and let them in" Said Jace, her brother.
"Let them stand out there and burn for all I care.." Mumbled Joyce as she procceded to fall back asleep.
"Ahaha, you're not going back to sleep, get the heck up." Responded Jace.
"Ugh, fineeee" Replied Joyce irritated as she rose up.
" Get my clothes together since you want me to go so badly" She blurted.
"Fine." Said Jace as he got her uniform and flung it to her. "There."

She got dressed and trotted out the front door and down the street to the bakery.
" Maybe today won't be so bad after all" Said Joyce hopingly.
She made it to the bakery and the person she saw standing at the door made her want to rip out her eyeballs and run away.
It was no other than Flower Garcia, a well known enemy of Joyce.
She wondered to herself if this was karma, because of the day before.
She took deep breaths and tried to shoo her anger away then walked up to Flower.
Flower gave an evil grin, it gave Joyce a very unpleasant feeling.

" Hello Miss Garcia and welcome to Katlyn's Bakery! You will be working in the kitchen and frosting the sweets while I work the register. Here is your uniform and I will show you around in just a minute!" Said Joyce as sweetly as she could.
"Awfully nice to me knowing we're well known enemies of one another and... this uniform looks too small, I'll need a bigger one." Replied Flower.
"Mhm whatever, squeeze into it fatty" Responded Joyce as she unlocked the doors of the Bakery.
"Alrighty, Come back here and I'll show you want to do," She said to Flower looking quite annoyed.
"Haha, okie dokie Chienne Reine!" Shouted Flower.
Joyce cringed at what Flower said, she couldn't stand to be called that.
"Better lighten up if you don’t want a black eye" Replied Joyce as she turned around at Flower and gave a smile.

Joyce lead her into the kitchen and told her where all the utensils where located.
"Brilliant Joy Loy! Maybe I can make you some cupcakes as a good thing for having help~" Said Flower in a troublesome way.
"Sure! Make sure to add lots of poison so I don't have to wake up and see your god ugly face again!' Gleefully responded Joyce.
She then headed out the kitchen, honestly really craving those poisoned cupcakes.
She rested her head on her hand and impatiently waited for the day to end, it had just started and she already wanted it to end.
Business was slow today, only people who came was to get their orders from yesterday.
Hours passed and Joyce had to put up with Flower's annoying self for eternity it felt like.

The day finally ended and Joyce was closing up shop.
"Can't wait to see you again Chienne Reine!" Sarcastically said Flower but in a happy way.
"Mhm, don't bother showing up tomorrow." Responded Joyce as headed down the street toward home.
She walked in her home and shouted as loud as she could, "Jace Ninjastar!! You're not going to believe what you made me go through today!"
Out came her brother from the room and gave her look showing he really didn't want to.
"What? What could I have possibly made you go through?" He said.
She sat him down on the couch and complained to him for hours.

"Well! Know you the know the sufferment you made me go through today! Goodnight, I am going to bed!" She hollered as she walked up the stairs into her room. She didn't want tomorrow to come, she wanted anything but tomorrow to happen. Feeling completely stressed, she fell right asleep, not knowing what tomorrow would bring.
