He hasn't received anyone yet, neither information.
The cell was as bland as it could be and the dead colors matched his mood, he couldn't care less about anything. Not anymore.
All he cared about, all he thought about, all he worried about, was her. All he missed was her.
Bells went off around him and he knew it was the alarm. 7 am. This was the start of the next day he was sentenced.
Someone will fetch him soon.
Someone will take him to the court where he will be sentenced to life.
No.
He should've done something, but he didn't.
Now his punishment is to reminisce about those events for life.
No.
He closed his eyes as the line of tears started to roll down his face.
Her eyes were bloodshot red, she was so scared. He watched her in fear as she smiled through the pain, her face paler. He should've ran for help, but he couldn't let her go. He should've given money, but he couldn't move. All he could do was hold her close as soon as the hooded man dropped the gun and ran.
"It's not your fault love, you didn't know," she whispered to him as he tried to take in what happened.
Her hand caressed his cheek, he could still feel the slight memory of her warmth and her stuttering voice.
"Stay with me until I fall asleep, I'm not ready to go"
She choked the words out as tried to keep her cries inside.
He shook his head, refusing to let her go. He could only watch her warmth be replaced by the cold as her eyes started closing.
Her blood kept oozing out.
The last thing he heard from her was, "Stay with me..."
He could barely cry, he could barely say it will be alright. His heart was just filled with despair and rage, the gun was still in front of him.
The hooded man watched everything unfold behind the ally and he could only remember how the gun fit perfectly in his hands as he held it towards him.
'I will avenge her tonight' he remembers thinking as he turned towards the man.
His last battle cry was as loud as the gunshots as sirens started evolving around them. The man motionless and his lover like a sleeping angel. One last kiss to her head as he held her, the fading perfume forever imprinted in his mind.
He opened his eyes to the watch the ceiling again.
He probably did deserved this sentence except the judge got it wrong, he doesn't need it. He might have been sentenced to life, but he was already a prisoner in his own mind. She was cell that kept him locked inside her.
Now he can't ever move on.
And he wouldn't want to.
He didn't want to live again, not with those memories. The only love of his life was gone.
He looked at the angel standing before him, a stream of light so welcoming he nearly took its hand. But he shook his head.
He wants to stay with her, no matter if his actions proved worthy of another chance.
He never regretted holding her close and putting the gun towards his own head. He promised he would stay with her until she fell asleep.
So he will stay with her in the afterlife.
Hell or Heaven.
