The open curtains fluttered with the summer wind as the crumbled sweet tarts lay dead on the stone tablet.
"Ugh, Dissatisfied."
Chess mumbled under her breath as she glared towards the fifth attempt of sweet pomegranate tarts.
"Blast it, I followed every instruction and it still failed to meet the requirement of a simple tart!"
She puffed a strand of chocolate brown curl out of her small face. Chess pouted as the stone slab melted the crumbs to nothing. The small princess snatched a kitchen towel out of the hamper and carefully lifted the disappointing pastries to the bowel of previous failures.
A small thumping echoed out from the stone staircase and Chess hesitated as the thumping increased.
"Crumpets and Trumpets, Ms. White where are you?"
The round albino rabbit wailed out. She snuffed out a small giggle as she just remembered that she invited the Court Rabbit to a game of hide and sneak, a simple game to her but a marathon of struggle.
She hated being alone all time, left to play with her dolls and toy jaks.
Chess hatched a small yet devious plan again the rabbit. She shuffled around noticeably and she lit one of the matches and silently called out to the Dragonfly sitting upon the hearth-top, he rolled his his wings in then out, signifying that he was on her side.
She snorted evilly as the thumping of his heavy paws rounded the corner. Where are you, Ms. White? I call out to you as this is an unfair game!" He gasped out and step lightly across the counter, she was nestled next to the two hearths, hidden out of view until the precise moment.
"Mr. Rabbit?"
She crawled out to catch his attention  and the Dragonfly zipped around the room with the flame bright and hot, scaring the Court Hare to freeze up and faint. "Haha! You found me and my trusty side-man!"
She exclaimed with pride and confidence beeming off of her.
She looked upon the unconscious rabbit and she raised an eyebrow and turned around for a damp washcloth and dabbed his deathly-white fur, trying to awaken him.

Chess sighed as the Rabbit still didn't awake from his scare she grabbed her dress as she stood up to redip the rugged cloth in the cool water.
As she bent down to drape the washcloth across the unconscious Rabbit's forehead, he recovered and exclaimed as Chess fell back in surprise. Fury fumed red in the rabbits pale face as he brushed himself off and bounced angrily towards the royal hall.
'Oh no, he's not going there is he?' She thought in panic.
Not the library, she stood up quickly and shuffled around the hearth and freezer. Chess grabbed her heavy skirts and galloped after the Rabbit.
