I was getting ready to go to school when I heard a knock on the front door. I rushed out of the bathroom in my school uniform, a white polo with the school name, Queens Academy, on the pocket and my navy blue skirt. I was putting the finishing touches on my bun fixing it with a pen when mom opened the front door to see my best friend Gray there.
"You ready for the field trip?" he asked.
"Gods no." I answered.
" Let's get going."
We walked to school and looked around. No person was here but there were griffins smelling around for something or someone.
"Um Gray? Why are there griffins here?" I asked.
"This is bad. Someone must have found out about you and sent griffins." he answered.
"Okay so how do we stop them from taking all the shiny stuff in town?"
"Not funny! They're here to kill us."
"So how do we defeat them?"
"Take out your pen, duh."
I took out the bronze gel pen I had in my hair and uncapped it. It grew into a three foot sword. I don't know how to use a sword so I chucked it at the griffins. It attracted the griffins toward us and they started coming. I tried to run, but they caught up to me and scratched my back.
"Ahhh!" I screamed.
"What are you doing, Thea?" Gray asked.
"I don't know. Trying to save your goat behind!"
"Well its not working. Let me help." said a voice. I looked up to see a boy on a black pegasus.
"Percy? What are you doing here?" Gray asked.
"Trying to save my sister," the boy answered.
He jumped off the pegasus and focused on something, I couldn't tell what. Then all of a sudden, waves of water come crashing down on us. The zombies disappeared. Gray and I got soaked, but the boy didn't.
"Um thanks," I stated.
"You need to get her to camp right away." he said to Gray concerned.
