Green Flash

Prologue

(11 years ago)

      "Mommy mommy" says the little girl.
      "yes honey, what is it" says the woman.
      "Are we going to see the Green Flash today" asks the little girl.
    "I don't know sweetie, but we're going to head to the beach anyway"
      "Daddy" yells the little girl as she runs and hugs a man walking over to them.
       "Hey honey ready to go to the beach?" asks the man.
     "Yeah Daddy I'm ready" responds the little girl.

"Daddy, mommy the flash is about to happen" says the little girl.
        "You go on ahead and look at the Flash, me and Mommy are going to stay behind, okay?" Says the man
        "okay" responds the girl
     Then little girl goes on head and at the exact moment when the Green Flash was supposed to happen she turns back and looks at her parents. They're kissing. This makes the girl confused, why would they kiss rather then have an awesome experience by seeing the Flash. Then she realizes that her parents care more about each other than this Green Flash that they might never see in their lives. This just showed that their love was extraordinary. At that very moment the girl decided that it was her dream to have that same type of love and to be kissed at the exact time as a Green Flash

(Present)

I was that girl, 11 years ago. I still have that very same dream. It might seem stupid but it's my only memory of them, my real parents. They died in a car crash that same day. I feel like I'm honoring them by keeping this my dream, so I'm going to make it happen. I wonder what my parents would say if they knew that was my goal in life, it's pretty pathetic that out of everything I could strive to accomplish that I choose to be kissed during a sunset phenomenal. If only I could tell them why but I can't cause I'm all alone now.

In case you didn't know what a green FLASH is it happens when the sun gets fully under the Horizon and at that exact moment a green flash is projected.
